Conference Championship Day Games Thread

I'm glad the Pats lost. Between the two, I hope the Ravens beat the 49ers.

For the playoffs I picked theentire 1st round correctly..since then I've only gotten the Pats over Houston correct. Lol

I think the 9ers wax the Ravens.....so go put your money on Bmore.

I'm just glad I stopped sports betting a long time ago. I'm pretty positive I would be in the red.

The 2 teams that are in the super bowl.....SF replaced their starting QB for really no reason. Smith had a 6-2 record and a 104 rating and went 18-19 with 3 td's in his last game and then Harbaugh decided to bench him. Baltimore fired their offensive coordinator after they were 9-4.

Harbaugh ( SF ) was smart enough to realize Kapernick and the type off offense he could run was a better option for a ticket to the SB then the one Smith offered.

Obviously he was very right. But that is such a ballsy move considering Smith was playing well this year and he actually played very well all last year through their playoff run to the NFC Championship game. I just can't think of another coach who would be able to pull that trigger and pretty much bring an unknown in to be your starter.

And Alex Smith just has to feel like the most cursed QB on the planet. He has to be muttering WTF to himself constantly. He must think his life is just a cruel joke at this point (minus the fat QB paycheck).

Well, at least Smith isn't the Jets' Tim Tebow, whose owner Woody Johnson now claims that he never really wanted, and that Tebow was "forced on him". Maybe Smith can latch on with another NFL team, but he might not be a starting QB w/o first competing for it with most of them. Alex might even be able to find a CFL team that is more willing to slot him in as their starter...

Maybe being a perennial second-string backup in the NFL ain't really all that bad, since ex-Lions QB Charlie Batch has managed to extend his NFL career for many more years as Been Raperfurburger's backup with the Steelers...>:D
