Coronainsanity

Im not...but thats cause i know im safe.

I also know a majority of people dont give a flying fuck and arent safe.....So a lock down is the only thing that can help against a virus that spreads as fast as Omicron. It will never happen....so again ill say....WE ARE practicing natural immunity. And its not working lol.

hmmm, seems a bit hypocritical coming from someone who accuses others of being selfish for making their own decision, just like you did. You know the vaccine will protect you (but you know you can get AND spread the virus), so you're against lockdowns for yourself.

We tried lockdowns and those failed miserably.

Yes, the good news is all true but no, the idea that we just haven't lived w/ Omicron long enough to know it's less lethal is not true. You realize there's data from Europe and South Africa, places dealing with Omicron longer than we have been, that's consistent with what we're experiencing right?

so what's your number? how much is it skewed by? And how long do you want to wait for people to die so we can get an accurate fatality rate?

i go by the data. Look at any previous case spike. The death spike comes 2 - 4 weeks after that. Its not rocket science...and december only data will not include that death spike yet. Most normal people are assuming to see a similar number of deaths due to 1) more infections having a negative impact 2) lower death rate having a positive impact.

Then theres abnormal people that want to just label it mild and pretend like hundreds of thousands of people dying is just nature.

By saying safe...i mean taking the proper precautions to ensure 1) my family doesnt get sick...which has worked 100% of the time so far. And 2) that if i did happen to get sick (even symptom free) that id limit the chance to spread it to others.

A great majority of people dont take those same precautions.

We didnt go into lockdown. We called it that....meanwhile everyone was outside doing whatever they wanted. Im smart enough to realize that itd be no different if we tried it again. So ya, i dont want another lockdown...because people are stupid.

How can you do that without quarantining? And how does that only apply to you and your family? Why can't the rest of America be trusted?

there's not much evidence to support this - there is however, significant evidence that large majorities of people end up taking reasonable precautions on their own. The wisdom of crowds tends to prevail and tends to be more effective than individual or small numbers of "experts."

well, you are assuming that this variant is acting like past variants. It's not. It isn't attacking people's lungs. People are recovering quickly. Even the very sick are much less likely to need to go on vents. This variant might as well be an entirely different disease.

You are applying data from past variants to this one, which isn't smart.

Look at the "death spikes" for all 4 variants. Each one is a little different. In south Africa the Omicron variant didn't really have a spike...it was pretty flat.

Ah yes....wisdom of crowds in America. Can always count on that cant we?!

Insert picture of a dumbass wearing a bison headdress storming the capital.

maybe if you got a bunch of people as smart as you together, the crowd could help you figure out how to post that picture yourself. That would give you more evidence that crowds are smarter than individual experts. Also, maybe that picture you insert should be a crowd of people in the Capitol (with an "o" not a second "a"), and not an individual mentally unstable knucklehead - just a thought.

so what's your number? Is the Omicron mortality rate inline with other strains? That would make Omicron different in the US than the rest of the world. Give me your best guess - well it probably wouldn't be a guess since you go by the data, but what's your best estimate, I'll take the under and propose a wager once I see it.

Yes! Victory against tyranny for America!

  • The Supreme Court on Thursday blocked the Biden administration from enforcing its sweeping vaccine-or-test requirements for large private companies.
  • But the conservative-majority court allowed a vaccine mandate to stand for medical facilities that take Medicare or Medicaid payments.
  • The OSHA mandate required that workers at businesses with 100 or more employees get vaccinated or submit a negative Covid test weekly to enter the workplace.
the 3 lib judges voted for complete medical tyranny as expected.

did you miss post #5145? I was shocked that I beat you to this...

the dissenting opinion makes it clear the 3 liberal justices have no concern for the Constitution. They probably think this is real, and not just a meme...

replace "virus" with "War on Terror" and that's exactly what Republitards argued and did from 2001-2009.

but what about? and what about? and what about? keep trying...

Edit: Also note, the guys in that pick are most likely Democrats - note the confederate flag, and the furniture (clearly that's one of their parents houses they're all sitting around in because none of them have jobs), and they're very likely gay given what they're doing in front of each other - not that there's anything wrong with that, but gay people overwhelmingly vote Democrat. They're all just a bunch of racist, jobless, gay dudes sitting around whacking it in front of each other in one of their mom's living rooms because none of them have jobs - definitely Democrats.

I'm sorry, I missed the part where the SCOTUS ruled against the POTUS regarding the War on Terror. Oh, right... strawman argument... got it.

Canadians should be paying attention and file lawsuits against their illegal fines for not being vaccinated. While I do not know Canadian law, sure seems that is an overreach in the context of them being a free nation.

they probably don't have a prohibition on double taxation but given they have single payer healthcare, it seems like they're making the unvax'd pay twice.

I honestly don't want to know where you found that bottom picture.

Well, I'm still going to tell you... was looking for a pic that conveyed all the faux patriotism crap Republicans spew when they pat themselves on the back for "defending the Constitution," so I did a search for "circle jerk" with "safe search" on.

Most of the pics that came up were for the Circle Jerks.

The Confederate flag in the background was just *chef's kiss*

you forgot the part about how you did that search 5 years ago the pic has been on your hard drive for "personal use" since then.
