Well, I'm still going to tell you... was looking for a pic that conveyed all the faux patriotism crap Republicans spew when they pat themselves on the back for "defending the Constitution," so I did a search for "circle jerk" with "safe search" on.

Most of the pics that came up were for the Circle Jerks.

Oh, hey this is a fun fact?here in Cali unvaccinated, uninfected (probably because they acquired natural immunity at some time before the vacc was available caring for Covid patients along the way) health care workers who have been fired are being replaced by vaccinated health care worker who are literally actively sick with the Covid, to literally expose their illness to patients - because there?s no one else to do it- all the uninfected, unvaccinated worker have been fired!

Damn, that Ted Cruz and Ron DiSantis are so fucking dumb!

EDIT: Anybody trying to pitch this in Hollywood as a contagion horror script would literally be thrown out of a 17th story window.

The ability to spread rapidly is what determines which variants will become dominant, NOT less severe variants. As long as a viral variant can spread before it kills you, the fact that it kills you doesn't factor into the calculus.

Also what you linked to provides 0 data supporting the claim that more infections of the less deadly variant = more deaths. The reported data is showing otherwise - tomdalton22 has provided numbers and percentages similar to what I?m hearing reported.

what the hell? the article I linked to has nothing to do with death rates or data.

It just points out that the data supporting the idea that viruses often evolve to be less deadly, less virulent, or less severe (whatever you want to claim) is not there. it doesn't exist.

There is a picture of the virus that looks kind of blue? Some verbiage in between, and then there?s a picture of the virus that looks kind of brown. Right above the kind of brown picture there is a sentence that begins ?experts say??. and it goes on to literally say that while Omicron appears to be less deadly, because of the contagiousness it will result in more deaths, providing 0 data to support that claim.

Wishful thinking if you think hundreds of millions of people getting a virus in the next 30 days will equate to mutations that are less deadly than omicron. Literally all the next virus has to do is be as contagious as omicron but infect the lower lungs again... and poof.... more deaths.
