but it was actually well into the fall.
I have been having so much fun following the two of you go back and forth on this riveting academic discourse that I couldn?t resist joining the merriment.
There is no universe in which characterizing any point in ?late September? as being ?well into the fall? makes sense, especially when the event - I guess we are talking about the acquisition of some worthless masks ? may not have happened during the fall at all.
Let?s break this down a bit ? remember, ?30 days hath September.?
So ?late September? should be characterized as being any time just after midnight the early morning of September 16 - the beginning of the second half- and just before midnight the night of September 30.
So let?s look at some of the facts.
The fall began this year, 2020, on September 22, at 9:30 AM EDST. We have to look at the date of the equinox, September 22, as being both part of the summer, and also as part of the fall, because until 9:30 AM it was indeed summer, and after that it was fall - nine days of fall in September.
Adding 31 days of fall in October, 30 days of fall in November, and 21 days of fall in December (the 21st being a partial day; fall ends at 5:02 AM EST) gives us a total of 91 days of fall in 2020.
So had the event in question ? again I guess it was the purchase of some worthless masks - occurred after 9:30 AM on September 22 and before midnight on September 30, the event would have indeed happened in the fall, at some point between less than 1% of the way into fall and not quite 10% of the way into fall.
I don?t see how it is reasonable to characterize any point less than 1% of the way into something and not even as much as 10% of the way into that thing as being ?well into? that thing.
Now, let?s go back and examine the possibility that the event - again, I guess it was the purchase of some worthless masks ?in ?late September? occurred at a point in time between after midnight the morning of September 16 and just before 9:30 AM on September 22 - if that were the case, the event wouldn?t have happened in the fall at all ? it would have indeed happened during the summer.
It is in arguably erroneous to claim that an event that happened during the summer happened ?well into the fall.?
This was a lot of fun guys, keep it up.
