Could Cabrera be gone?

Just saying, we could demand a kings ransom for Cabrera now that we have Fielder to play 1st. I too think Cabrera could be a top 10 all time player, but if we have a logjam with he, Prince and Vmart next year you have to look at the options. If we could trade Cabrera, save money and improve our team, you might look at it.

Victor is what.. 33 or 34... He is having a major operation... We really don't know how well he will comeback.. Really the odd guy out of the three is Victor..

Bam. Yeah lets trade the best hitter in the game and still in his 20's. Lol. And even if DD had that thought, unless you're getting a 25 year old Babe Ruth, not a chance.

Cabrera is my favorite Tiger and I think he's the best hitter in the game and will be top 5 for the next 6+ years, but every GM in the league thinks this too. I don't want him traded, but you could absolutely name your price for him and if you could potentially improve your club, you think about it.

Every GM does not think this. Who trades guys like Miggy? Well, outside of Florida ;-). You either trade a superstar because he asks to be traded, he's in his twilight years or he's a FA.

Dude imagine Miguel Cabrera and Prince Fielder in the same lineup.....oh wait i don't have to imagine. Now stop with this trading Cabrera stuff he is the reason we signed Prince in the first place

We'll see Braun's numbers disappear, err once he gets back from 50.

Fielder hitting behind Cabrera is going to be sick indeed. It's certainly one of the best 3-4 hitter combos in recent baseball history. Miguel could have a career year in 2012.

Hmm, what if you could get Robinson Cano, Brett Gardner, and a top prospect from the Yankees for Cabrera after the 2012 season?

You're high if you actually think the Yankees would even do that.

So it was ok to speculate on us signing Fielder, when no one thought we would get him, but it isn't ok to speculate on trading Miggy. Obviously Mr I has a thing for Prince, so if it is determined that Miggy can't handle 3b or OF and if he says he doesn't want to DH 50% of the time or more, we really won't have a choice but to trade him. Nobody wants to trade him, all Tiger fans want this to work out but there is a possibilty it won't. Than we have a great trade chip.

Everything else being the same, I would MUCH rather have the "problem" of where to stick Miggy in the field, than having the "problem" of whom will hit behind him w/o Fielder.

:)

The Tigers asked Cabrera before signing Fielder.

He is the franchise.

They would not sign Fielder to trade Cabrera, they would choose Cabrera over Fielder 100 out of 100 times.
