Crazy Drafts Thread

Dude, its football - things change from year to year. Otherwise what's the point, AP would get 2k every year, CJ would get 1.9k every year, Cinci would still suck. Who cares if he had 1 or 2 more fumbles than he "normally has".

Last year, lets say they were all healthy on D, no one opposite Delmas, no one opposite Houston, no one opposite Avril and Levy and Durant, who I like but was one dimensional. We've only improved at S. Yet we'll suddenly a 10 win team?

:lmao:

Corey Willliams, number 2 CB, nickel CB both safeties were hurt. They were not healthy on D. All the DEs did severely underperform what they are capable of doing. 2010/2011 for Avril, Jackson, 2011 ofr Young and 2010/2011 for KVB proove that.

And yes things change but not that drastically. Overtime the Lions turnovers won't be 33 and -16 differential in 2013. You can count on that.

Btw, maybe Staff's 40 TD was a fluke, only did it one. Maybe 2012 is his bench mark.

Maybe it was but 30 is a good probability. And 30 could win 10-11 games for the Lions. 40 is his elite potential, 30 is his probable potential.

And this team can be a 10 win team. Even with junk defense like they had with a backup secondary the last 6 games in 2011 they won 3 of 4 down the stretch to make the playoffs.

Stafford, Tulloch, Pettigrew, Calvin(fumbles/TDs) can rebound. Burleson/Broyles can shake the injuries and be more than solid. Reiff/Nagy/Hilliard/Fox can get the job done on the Oline. Bush/LeShoure/Bell is a good backfield. Get 10 less turnovers(which is very probable) and the Lions will be set on offense because moving the ball and getting plenty of scoring chances is no problem.

Houston/Delmas/Quin and whoever can be a top 5 secondary.

Dline is elite at DT and DE they can be solid enough to have a good defense with a solid draft on top of Jones/Young.

LB solid with Tulloch,Levy and Palmer.

we dont have corey williams this year, our number 2 cb still sucks, nickel cb is awful. Upgrade at S with quinn but delmas will remain a walking injury concern, the DEs are much much much worse. Not to mention we cant rotate SLH in at DT and Durant is gone. Soooo...as far as "change" goes to date were in worse shape than you just explained in 2012.

Why would he go 30? Are we just guessing now?

Its all about the fluke turnovers :hehe:.

Number 2 CB, nickel CB and both safeties are in great shape.

DE did terrible last year. Anyone is an upgrade. We have anyone in a rookie and Jason Jones.

CW is still a free agent. More Suh and Fairley will be good though like it was in 2012.

Palmer can do what Durant did and be better in coverage.

SLH we will miss.

Lions force 6-7 more turnovers and have 10 less and win 6 or 7 more games. Count on it

If the #2 CB you're referring to is Bartell or Green, you've lost your mind if you think that spot is in great shape. Also, we don't know what to expect from the nickel CB. Bentley could be good, or he might be bad. He hasn't played enough for us to know.

Regarding DE, we'll need at least a round 1 or 2 DE in order be back to last years' terrible level. I'm hopeful that Jason Jones can play well, but I can't really count on Willie Young or Ronnell Lewis. IMO an early DE in the draft plus Jason Jones would only be slightly better than last year, and that's only regarding our starters, not the depth.

Young you can count on for DE depth.

Bartell and Green can get the job done at the number 2. Green was solid for a rookie and Bartell is big and has talent and shut down Marshall. Don't underrate the talent on this roster at CB.

Bartell is average. Greene was not terrible but hardly solid. Its still a position we arent good at. DE is scaring the crap out of me. We have no one. Not a single starter worth having. I just dont get it.

Maybe LKP has the GM ear..

Maybe LKP has the GM ear..

LKP hears and says some amazing things.....lions say jones will play DT....lkp pencils him as a starting DE. Bartell plays one good game in 4 years.....hes a solid #2. Bentley rides the pine injured all year....hes a solid nickel. Willie Young blows all of last year.....hes quality depth. Palmer hasnt played in 2 years.....hes better than durant. Greene was awful most of last year....he'll be a solid number 2. Lets just trade all our picks for additional picks next year....sounds like were just fine the way we are this year!

They said jones is de. You are dead wrong pn that. Palmer is better in coverage than durant. Bartell had more than one good game. Green was solid for a rookie. You underrate them because you hate mayhew

Schwartz has said numerous times Jones is our LE. The rest is questionable. Bentley would certainly not have rode the pine if it weren't for his injury, though.

Hughes is making stuff up. Bartell had other games last year where he graded well. Not just Week 17. He's had good games with the Rams too. He's a vet 2nd round pick.

Bentely was a starter and he played his 4 games hurt. Lions were 2-2 in those games and held the Vikings to 6 points offensively in one of the losses.

And Palmer is better than coverage than Durant. It's a fact given how horrible Durant is in coverage. Durant is a 2 down LB.

Yeah the fans and media keep saying DT even though Schwartz says he will take Avrils spot at LE and that he fits what they want to do more.

I'm beginning to think Schwartz is an idiot. If Jones is our starting LE, we in trouble.

Yeah having a LE play run defense well. It's really going to suck for the Lions.

And Bartell had 3 good games last year, 3 bad and 1 average. He did well in the Lions scheme and that's all that matters. And did well against two teams we play Cincy and Baltimore.

Wait a minute, doesn't 3 good, 3 bad and one average makes him, well average?
