lol...first read that as 7 pounds Brandon Copeland as though were calling him out for being too small...took a second time to understand it as 7 linebackers!

Zenner is going to take Bells job this year. Very glad that TJ Jones made the roster, hope he ends up the Lions #3 shortly. Give him the same amount of snaps that Fuller played last year and he puts up much better numbers.

My thought is that Zenner doesn't produce, and is gone in two years. I hope he turns into something but I'm skeptical.

Zenner is here for insurance. You'd have to be insane to think otherwise. Bell is a liability now...29 and injuries piling up. Love Bell, but Zenner will get those looks eventually. If a healthy Bell is upon us then Zenner won't do jack this year. My bet is that Bell gets hurt like he always does. I hope not, but i'm comfortable with ZZ if it happens...

Bell played 15 games and had over 200 carries. He doesn't always get hurt

Coming off of an acl surgery though. Exactly how Tony put it, Zenner is insurance for the inevitable. I'd put money on Bell not recording more than 150 touches this year. Similar to Bush last year, just constant nagging injuries and flare ups

Cudjo is back on the team, Alex Carter put on injured reserve. 11 hours old but didn't see it in this thread.

How does the Money work with a player like Salis? He was cut from the Lions but probably hurt real bad.. How does that all work out for the player? Does he get disability insurance or anything?

That all depends on Salas as it's up to the player to decide if he wants to buy disability insurance, it isn't provided for them by the NFL or the teams.

The NFL provides limited disability coverage, up to about $180,000. Pays some bills but obviously doesn't touch what they would've made playing.

Sometimes there are injury settlements when a guy goes on IR.

I guess it is typical for the player to get screwed in the NFL.. Hope the kid is covered for something..
