No one switches to Drew Rosenhaus to get a deal done. They sign with him to get the most money possible. Like Tom says, who would blame him. A few things have to transpire for him to be signed away, first put together another quality year like this one. Second, our new guy may fully agree to pay him what he wants. There is no doubt the guy is going to want Josh Norman money, who is about to set the ceiling in the next few months.

While Slay seems loyal, 3+ extra million a year for 6 years is hard to turn down. I don't see him giving a home town discount if that's what you are implying.

The o-line has some highly drafted young talent, but still remains a question mark. Riddick is a bright spot, but the rest of the young skill guys haven't been very impressive. With all that in mind, letting defensive talent go leaves this team closer to rebuilding mode.

Who else is going to command a big contract soon? Unless they're eyeing somebody in free agency, I think they can afford to spend a little, especially if CJ's contract is out of the picture in the near future.
