I love it when MD smiles. He's like a completely different person. Well done, Spartans!

I wonder if we can leap frog FSU after their debacle yesterday and nab ourselves a second consecutive Top 5 finish.
1/2 Oregon/OSU
3/4. Bama/TCU
5/6. MSU/FSU
7. Baylor
Good luck to OSU.
And heck maybe Iowa can make it 3 out of 4 over the SEC vs Tennessee.
I can make the argument that we should be #3 but voters won't, I'm sure drew sharp will vote msu 10th and OSU 5th.
We could have been #2 last year as well but I understand the logic of keeping auburn #2
I can't find an argument for MSU to be ranked above TCU. Maybe Bama but I think Bama has a better overall resume....but you could make an argument for MSU over Bama and I would listen.
Just quickly I'll give a shot.
MSU lost to the 2 teams playing for it all.
TCU lost to a team that MSU beat. In what basically was a road game for the Spartans.
MSU's best win was to a team that will finish top 10.
TCU's best win was over a Mississippi team that finished 2-4 in their last 6 games.
TCU needed a late int to beat a 3 win Kansas team.

Bama and TCU both have more good wins, even though our best win is now pretty good. After that Nebraska was our best win. Bama won a conference championship in a higher rated conference and TCU was a co-champ. 2 things we were not. Both have the same or fewer losses.
I think finishing at #5 sounds about right.
I think if we had been more convincing in beating Baylor there would be more of an argument. But again back-to-back top 5 finishes would still be pretty good.
I'd like to hear who TCU's "good wins" were.
Not a single team that TCU played has won a bowl game. 0-6

They blew out Kansas State who has yet to play their bowl game and is ranked 11. Mississippi was a good, not great team that they blew out. They blew out Minnesota who is better than Nebraska and Nebraska is our second best win. Oklahoma got blown out in their bowl game, but I think if they were on our schedule we'd be being trying to tout it as a quality win.
TCU has more good (good, not great) wins and their loss was on the road in a game they led by 21 in the 4th quarter. Our 2 losses were solidly by double digits, 1 at home.
My prediction for the final top 7
1) Oregon
2) OSU
3) TCU
4) Alabama
5) MSU
6) FSU
7) Baylor
