Dantonio Smiles

Too true. Drew's column today was interesting. UM fans won't care for it so much.
It's sharp so he'll try to get under people's skin but there is some truth. He has a large scale rebuild in store and it will take some time but he will get the patience the others didn't since he played for god. The landscape has changed in a lot of ways, there will be a lot more parity in terms of talent than there was 20 years ago and with the new TV contract everyone will have big time resources. their resurgence on the national scene is far from a given but Harbaugh says the right things. When asked about msu and OSU he said they're both great programs and he has work to do, that's the right attitude, he gets it.

He definitely gets it. Anything could happen and Harbaugh hasn't won anything yet, but it's pretty clear to me he's on a trajectory to become one of those iconic coaching figures. He's got the attitude, the pedigree and the resources. He played for Schembechler and Ditka, for crying out loud. How big is that club?

It won't happen overnight, of course, and it'll be lots of fun to see him get waxed by Dantonio and Meyer this year, and by Meyer again in 2016, but after that, I expect that Harbaugh will be making some noise. Blue is going to win it's fair share of battles in the decade to come.
