And the Canadiens. They won five straight from 1956-60 and four straight from 1976-79. They were 60-8-12 in 1976-77. Because the rest of the league was bad.

credit Dantonio for being a better coach than Bobby Williams or John L Smith, neither of whom would've been able to win consistently even with UM, PennSt, and OSU all struggling at various times over the 2008-2014 time frame. MD is "slightly above average" in the pantheon of Big Ten coaches.

If he was a truly good coach, he would've hired better assistants and been able to maintain MSU's competitiveness. and not recruited so many rapists he had to later dismiss from the team

That's not the point I am making - it's so far from the point it's basically impossible for that to be what anyone picks up on and yet somehow you managed to.
