David Duke loves Ilhan Omar

"Playing the Race Card" -

Example 1

Relatively under-qualified job candidate loses opportunity to a more highly qualified candidate and blames the outcome on race. This is "playing the race card."

Example 2

Former Grand Wizard of the KKK says "white people" are superior to other races. This is not a "race card" issue, this is plain old racism.

When people say racist things or act in a racist way and are called on it, it's simply noting and remarking on racism and someone being racist. Fox News likes to get all snowflakey gay and throw around a term like "playing the race card" but often times it's just simple racism being called out.

pretty clear if you ask me.

And your point is what? By the way, nice use of the bigoted homophobic slur in your "master of the obvious" post where you pontificate about hate but make no point, other than you're a homophobe.

claiming people abuse the term "racist" in a thread you started about abusing the term "anti-semite" to attack a congresswoman who criticised the government of Israel and its lobbyists here... that is... something.

This thread was never about abusing the term "anti-Semite" and it also wasn't started to attack a congresswoman. It was about the obvious bias in the media (and among leftists in general). But for the record, Ilhan Omar (and Rashida Tlaib) are virulently anti-Semitic - probably even more than you are.

Ilhan Omar Update

I ended up sitting this one out. I didn’t attend and I also didn’t go out on the streets in protest for or against Ilhan Omar.

I stayed home and watch the NCAA tournament.

this latest blow up is irritating because it's fucking obvious her quote was taken out of context, and she wasn't dismissing the 9/11 attacks at all. yet people like you are so clueless, you can't see it for what it is. This is all payback for her calling out AIPAC, and criticising Elliot Abrams & our aggressive actions toward Central America and Venezuela.

Going forward I think the standard needs to be "Whatever Ilhan Omar says, they'll have a guy there to quote her out of context, then they'll blow that up in the media so mainstream America doesn't listen to what she's actually saying, and dismisses her out of hand."

Like she'll say:
"I don't like this at all; I don't condone the murder of my fellow Americans."
and it will be edited to:
"I _ like this _ all; I _ condone the murder of _ _ Americans"
and you'll be all like "HURRR did you see what that evil libtard Muslins said?!?! UUURRRRRRR"

In case you've forgotten... link.

This interaction is not something that's supposed to happen anymore. Mere congresspeople should not be asking questions like this.

Well, we haven?t heard much about Ilhan and Israel for a while, But she?s in the news again because Netanyahu has apparently barred her and her Islamic Squad gal pal Rashida Talib from visiting Israel.

Trump supports this-he actually made a tweet suggesting the ban before it came down-while AIPIC and some other prominent Jewish lawmakers and organizations have spoken out against it.

There are also some who have supported it.

Since we already have this Ilhan Omar thread I just decided continue our discussion of her here.

EDIT: Hey, that might be a pretty cool name for a band - Ilhan and the Israelis.

Principled Republicans - a category of human being that currently consists of a grand total of ONE (1) individual named Justin Amash - criticised this and asked the Israeli government to stand up to Trump.

Is Amash still Republican?

EDIT: What about Marco Rubio? He is named and is quoted as having opposed the ban also.

No props for a little Marco about this?

the Rubiobot did that? he must not have been properly programmed by the billionaires who own him.

"Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu blamed the decision on Tlaib and Omar, saying he received their itinerary a few days ago and that it “revealed that they planned a visit whose sole objective is to strengthen the boycott against us and deny Israel’s legitimacy.” The itinerary said the destination was listed as Palestine and included no visit with any Israeli officials, he said.

"Tlaib, D-Mich, and Omar, D-Minn., are supporters of the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement targeting Israel. Under Israeli law, BDS supporters can be prevented from entering the country. They have also at times invoked what critics call anti-Semitic tropes in criticizing the Jewish state."

Maybe this has something to do with the decision.

Has pretty much everything to do with it. In addition, of course, to their preference for the destruction of Israel. There is that too. The fact that these two anti-semites and the other loco, AOC, have become the face of the modern democrat party has doomed the party. Trump will beat that drum in the 2020 and it will play remarkably well.

South Africa probably didn't allow anti-apartheid people to visit either back in the 80's.

But Israel has been doing this for a long time to anyone that criticises their government, even people of Jewish descent (Norman Finkelstein and Noam Chomsky).

LOL - Israel bans virtually everyone who supports BDS, as is their right and good policy.

LOL2 - Amash is a real principled Republican for asking Israel to "stand up to" the most Israel friendly President in decades by supporting a congresswoman who wrong-headedly bashes Israel and supports the terrorists who want to wipe it off the map. C'mon Israel, whatever happened to your principles.

LOL3 - Amash is an Independent, not a Republican.

It's as if you just puke out left wing talking points without any understanding of the facts.
