Dawson practiced today

Payne melded back into the lineup just fine, Harris has been streaky but not because of any disruptive rest, etc, etc. We have competent depth, if there is a decent chance Appling can get his shot back, it's worth it to sit him for the next couple games.

This is another reason losing to Nebraska was so awful - no way Appling plays 25 minutes against Purdue if we don't shit the bed against the Huskers.

it's a lot easier for post players to get back in the lineup than a PG, it's like changing offensive tackles or guards vs a qb

how many OTs and OGs touch the ball on every play? when the offense runs through payne and he touches the ball as much as he does in as many different spots on the floor, it's nothing like swapping an offensive lineman. If it was Nix or a guy like Jordan Morgan, fine but Payne is an integral part of the offense.
