[i:00ysep2x]Projected to start in Tennessee

Well, wherever he decides to go I hope his Dad will be okay. If he wants to play for a team on the rise, he'll pick Michigan.

Would he still be considered a 2012 comit even though he was a 2011 prospect? I would think he would count toward our overall scholly limit but not our 28 man 2012 scholly limit. We have plenty of room overall. Couldn't he be considered part if last years class too, since he will be a Jan enrolly?

Apparently Dooley will only release him if he goes to a MAC school. Dooley is a terrible person if this is true.

If that does happened he will burn in hell.

In light of Arnetts fathers condition, Dooley is a total douchebag if he follows through with that restriction.

Why would it matter where he went?

Tennessee is still upset about Woodson winning the Heisman

I hope ESPN makes a big deal about this. What a shame. Prolly won't though since they seem to be big sec cheerleaders.

Fuck Tennessee and Peyton Manning. The bitch should have beat Florida if he wanted the trophy.

Via Rivals, a emailed statement by Arnett himself:

Coach Dooley, myself or anybody doesn't know what the future holds for my Father and I feel that I represented the University of Tennessee the best way I can on and Off the field and I feel I have earned the right to be released unconditional to all schools in Michigan. Especially with The University of Tennessee not scheduling any program from the state of Michigan on their current or future schedules. Coach Dooley has singled two programs that I cant get a unconditional release to and that's the University of Michigan and Michigan State University. He told me I can attend any Mac school that I want and if I wanted to attend The University of Michigan and Michigan State University then I would have to pay for school instead of be on the scholarship. I dont know whats next my family cant afford to pay for school and my father health reason isn't good enough excuse for me to attend a BCS school close to home. (According to coach Dooley). Therefore as a student athlete i feel coach Dooley is trying to hinder my success by not allowing me to compete at a bcs level! And he's neglecting the fact that my father is severely ill.

Fuck Tennessee, Fuck Peyton Manning ( he cost me money in a Fantasy Football League to)

Wow. Dooley is an absolute piece of garbage. I hope he ends up back at a dead end program like Louisiana Tech again. He doesn't deserve to be at any major program. Fuck him.

I hope this destroys Tennessee's future recruiting. This should paint a clear picture of what type of person Dooley is to future recruits.

More than anything, I hope to god that the University of Tennessee overrides Dooley's ass on this and allows Arnett to transfer anywhere he wants to be close to his father.

Its fucked up. But it might actually help michigan. He could pick msu over us. And wr is one their weakest spots.

I could care less what school Arnett picks, but given the circumstances he has a right to play for U of M or MSU. What Tennessee is doing to him is wrong and the kid seems very sincere about his concern for his father. Not to mention he followed the receivers coach down there, a former MSU guy, and they fired him. They broke a promise to the kid on that and now with his father ailing he wants to pursue his football career in his home state. He should be able to do that. Arnett is rumored to have contacted some of the coaches at MSU, but that's secondary, the kid should be allowed to be near his ailing father without sacrificing his development as a player, the kid has an NFL future if he develops.

Dooley comes across as an unbelievable asshole. Dooley's salary is $1.8 Million and he says this, "If he wants to go to a BCS school he can pay his own way." WTF? This hurts Tennessee and if they stick to their guns will prevent players from going there. The DT from Flint Danny O'brien has expressed concern over this and I wouldn't be surprised if he de-committed.

I mean, sure I want the kid at MSU, it would be a great fit, he knows all the coaches, the only reason he didn't come here in the 1st place was he was recruited by a former MSU guy to UT because the guy is a great WR coach, he and Maxwell are friends and have worked out together, but if he needs to be close to his dad and he decides on U of M that is fine, the kid doesn't deserve to suffer because of wanting to be near his ailing dad.

There are 2 things at play here, they fired his recruiter and main reason he went to UT, Charlie Baggett. Charlie Baggett played QB for the Spartans and coached there later, he has become one of the best receivers coaches in football, having coached stars like Andre Rison, Randy Moss and company. It was the stated reason by Arnett of why he went to UT, he wanted to learn from the best. UT promised Arnett that he would learn under Baggett, they broke that promise.

Then Arnett's father's health began to fail, his father has had several heart attacks and Deanthony wants to be closer to home so his family could see him play football, his mom only attended 1 game this year. I don't think this kid is being unreasonable. Regardless of what UzT does, I think he'll enroll at either MSU or U of M next week, he'll have to take out student loans as his family is not in any position to pay tuition, he'll have to sit a year, but it wont be the end of the world.

This system is not set up to help these kids and Tennessee is being awful.
