DeAnthony Arnett

As a State fan I was praying that Deanthony Arnett was watching this game tonight. He'd be better off at CMU next year than in Ann Arbor.

Yea.. Who would want to win the BCS Sugar Bowl?

except doesnt he have to sit next year anyways, so wouldnt denard throwing to him mean nothing. he knows they are going back to a pro style offense and will have better passing qb's in the future.

Nope, he doesn't have to sit next year, he'll easily get a waiver from the NCAA because of his dad's health. Maybe he wants to be a good blocker though, he'll get plenty of chances to block for Denard next year.

i think he's referring to the fact that you have to work your ass off to get a catch in this offense.

By my calculations that would leave 2 years to play in a pro system with Devin and his buddy Shane Morris..

Yeah, and Devin looks like a world beater. Andrew Maxwell had worked out with DA several times and they are friends too. We'll see who he picks.

Not that you care.

For what its worth Valenti keeps tweeting that his sorces say that Arnett is going to MSU. he would be a huge get for them as they are in big need of WR's

This system is not set up to help these kids and Tennessee is being awful.

i agreed with you until you said this. Now i dont know about this kid specifically but in most cases these kids cant afford the schools they are going to and the only reason they are able to get the education they are getting is the scholarship they are on. If you dont fulfill that scholarhip there should be some sort of penalty....no matter what the circumstance. Theres gotta be rules in place....ailing father or not.

If his ailing dad is truly the reason for the transfer than why should it matter what school in michigan you go to next year?

Like i said i dont know the entire situation but the dad is a very convenient excuse to get out of what seems to be a pretty bad deal in Ten.

He made a bad choice to go there....now hes suffering the consequences.

They had 1 catchable ball thrown to a WR the entire first quarter. Denard finished with 9 completions during a game where their run game sucked all 4 quarters. They have talented WRs on the team like Grady who finish the year with 5 catches. The leading WR on the team has 34 catches and 4 TDs. And this is with an experienced qb starting on the team....

not the best situation to put yourself into if youre a WR and want to put up numbers.

Just too many options, not enough balls to go around, and about 8-10 passes per game are no where near their target.

Who was the MVP of the game? And its only one more season with Denard.. OH...and Arnett is a frosh and will be a sophmore next season.

Did you watch the game? lol. Not many people to chose from when you HAVE to pick someone from an awful game. Hemmingway had the best stat line in a terribly played game cause he made 2 plays. Those 2 plays just happened to be for TDs lol. 1 was a gift on a terribly thrown ball and 1 was a superior athletic play at the back of the end zone. Those 2 catches were also his only 2 catches of the game lol.

Havent seen enough of Gardner to say he'll be any better but a 47% completion percentage for the season isnt anything to brag about. I know its different when your being thrown into games the way he was....but nothing has really jumped out at me that he will be any better so far.

Hey, im just trying to be realistic here cause im a fan of both teams. but if you look at all the plays WRs made this year for the spartans and a huge chunk of that production is leaving then it seems like MSU would be the better opportunity. Just trying to be fair.

lol this tweet from Touch the banner

#Tennessee #Volunteers WR DeAnthony is transferring to #MichiganState. Hopefully he'll be in the 50% of Spartans that don't go to jail.

Please explain. We have talented Wrs but no talented Wrs would want to come to michigan? Ok then.

He's right.. Devin and Shane after next year still won't be able to complete a pass. Michigan will never land another wideout. Darboh is set to de-commit and hop aboard the Sparty express whoooot whoooot!!!
