Detroit @ Boston 7-27-2016 Game 102

Unfortunately Wilson is closing this game out and he's been getting tattooed lately so I don't have a good feeling about this game. Especially the way our lefties are pitching against lefties with Big Papi due up. We need another run or two

Sweep at Fenway.......middle finger to Red Sox nation.

Looks like the Tigers have sucked us all back in.......stay tuned.....

First time the Sox have been swept all year! I would've been happy to win one game in that ballpark going into this series and no way in hell you could convince me they'd pull of the sweep. Unbelievable performance and gutsy pitching by our bullpen these last three games.

Well the road trip didn't end up that bad 5-2 fulmer pitched well. Now it should have been 6-1 brad, pitching to a guy hitting .400+ against em with a base open in the bottom of the 9th was completely idiotic and it still pisses me off 3 days later.

Omg my wife sees Miggy''s Homer on replay 10 minutes after it happens and she says and I quote.

" is that the same guy who had the hit the other day to win " ( she is thinking of some other hit) she says with a straight face.
" tigers should keep him he is good ".

I say yup he has been with the Tigers 9 years now lol..

My wife saw the replay while I was watching right after it happened and says "that's Cabrera? He looks like he lost a lot of weight" She can't stand baseball but she knows who Miggy is being around me watching hundreds of games a year. I can't believe your wife did't know who he was being such a die hard fan. That's pretty funny though. We should keep him lol

Webvideo Highlights of the Tigers 4 - 3 win over the redsox.

Michael Fulmer: Went 7 2/3 innings and gave up three runs. The last was the tying run, but really, he got little help from the offense.

Cabrera/V-Mart: Went 7-for-8 with a walk and three runs driven in. Cabrera?s run was a solo shot that bounced off the top of the wall.

James McCann: Blasted a solo shot for the third run at the time.

Bullpen: Rondon breathed fire and kept the Red Sox from inflicting further damage. Justin Wilson made light work of the ninth inning.

Tigers offense: They had double digits in hits but they couldn?t capitalize on the several opportunities.

STATS AND INFO:
Victor Martinez?s four-hit day was his third of the season, and the 18th of his career. His last was on May 10 against the Nationals at Washington.

Miguel Cabrera?s homer was his 18th go-ahead hit this season, and his 10th go-ahead home run this year.

Cabrera?s home run was also his 14th career go-ahead home run in the ninth inning or later. His last was on May 13, 2014 at the Orioles.

Aaaand third, Cabrera?s dinger was his 429th career homer, tying him with Adrian Beltre for 47th in MLB history.

Justin Wilson got the first save of his career.

The Indians lost, so the Tigers are now 2 1/2 games behind for the Wild Card, and 4 1/2 for first place in the American League Central.

JV And Fulmer have been dealing.

I really feel like they need to add a starter but sounds like A is standing Pat there.
