Detroit Lions FA Thread

if he falls yes go to gilbert if he doesnt see if they can trade down to get denaard

SAFETY:
What?s changed: James Ihedigbo seemed close to signing a deal Thursday, but left the Lions facility without a definitive job in hand. He told reporters that he hopes to sign with the Lions and that an issue with his representation is part of the holdup.

Who is out there: Chris Clemons is still out there, but the Lions seem focused on Ihedigbo.

Chances something happens Friday: Highly possible if he can get things sorted in a timely manner.

Even if they sign Ihedigbo they will draft a safety high. He is nothing but a cheap stop gap

Browner to the Pats. 3yrs 17M

Tarell Brown to Raiders for 1 yr 3.5M

Nicks to the Colts on a 1 yr deal

3 guys I have seen some Lions fans want

I wouldn't have minded Nicks for one year. Curious how much he got..

that would have been a smart signing.. ...we do dumb shit like signing Pettigrew.

You are a turd. Why was signing him dumb? Also I don't think Nicks would have been that smart of a signing. I think he would have cost to much and been a distraction because he thinks he is a number 1 and could have had conflict with CJ. Also I just haven't been impressed with his recent output. Pettigrew came back cheap and works well with the guys around him. Showed improvement last season. Like it or not they made the right choices.

I agree bringing back Pettigrew was good but no WR would come in thinking they would be the 1 over CJ. Unless they have a mental illness like Titus.

I doubt Nicks is going in thinking he will be the #1 there. He may be old and beat down but that is Reggie Wayne`s team and his offense. Then with the season TY Hilton had too Nicks better not expect to be the #1 target

Pettigrew is a turd.

Ps....nicks 1 yr 5.5 mil. that only costs too much for teams that cant manage their space...like us.

Nicks is a bandaid, he's getting old, his production has fallen off the last couple of years and he's a loudmouth and a distraction in the locker room.
Instead, the Lions were actually smart and locked up two young weapons in Pettigrew and Tate who are in their prime. Yeah, real fn stupid...lol. Let's roll the dice on a broken down player like Nicks...fn brilliant.
Guys like Hughes just stir the pot. We would have signed Nicks he would have whined about that too....its a vicious annoying cycle.

coming from the guy that wanted nicks all of last year. So now the change cause I wanted him?...or is it just some weak ass attempt to show that Pettigrew was a good signing? Hey tony...the sky is blue.

ps..he just turned 26...how the fuck is that old? Stafford is 26....should we get rid of him cause hes old?

I like the Tate signing. He isn't a stud but he is exactly what the Lions need.

He could be a stud. He's shown that he can make splash plays. There was little room for him to put up stud numbers in Seattle's offense. I'll go 1100 and 8 for Tate next season.

Peppers to the Pack. 3yrs/30M max, with an 8.5 cap hit this year.

He was never gonna get that here.

I consider these guys studs

CJ
Marshall
Gordon
D Thomas
Jeffery
Green
Bryant
Jones

Yeah I can't see him making that jump, but 1100 and 8 is semi studly.

I don't think he can put up those type of numbers in this offense. In my opinion he can top out at what he did in Seattle last year.

There are just too many players to spread the ball around too.
