This is what scares me "With some deft drafting, GM Martin Mayhew could end up with four, possibly five starters!"

Mayhew is okay top 10, after that it gets a bit dicey.

Up until last year I would agree 100%. This is a pretty deep draft and with Xanders I think we would be ok.

agreed. you drop that far in the draft no need for cb. Only need upgrades at cb at this point...not more average bodies to add to the pile of average bodies.

I don't like the amount we gave Droptimus Prime, and honestly, I'm now exactly happy we resigned him. But to say he had no other offers is just wrong.

This. I don't think he makes our team significantly better. Would have rather spent that money on a DE or S.

I agree with you Mitch. I'd have rather we used that money on Defense as well.

So far our offseason moves are:

Swap Del-miss for Ihedigbo, lateral move at best, possibly a downgrade.

Re-Sign Joique Bell.
Re-Sign Droptimus Prime
Sign Golden Tate

We ranked in the bottom 3rd of the league defensively last season, and the season before. We can win games, even with second tier receivers, if we can keep the opposing score down.

My hope is that we are looking at a D-Heavy draft.

I've mentioned it before but I just can't help look at what Seattle did. And how the powerful Manning led Broncos got their asses kicked. I hope we go heavy in the draft for defense and that we get early production from these guys..
