Detroit Lions - Team Notes

Matt Patricia said RPOs have shown up more the past couple of years. Said once it becomes a buzzword, though, everything becomes classified as an RPO -- where "50 percent" of it ends up not actually being that.

The Lions have re-signed OL Andrew Donnal to the 53-man roster and S Rolan Milligan to the practice squad. Both were with the team earlier this year. Donnal's signing comes a day after the team cut CB Dee Virgin. The practice squad spot opened up when Eric Lee got promoted to the 53-man roster Saturday -- the same time the team cut Donnal to make room for Lee.

LeGarrette Blount, T.J. Lang, Michael Roberts and Eli Harold not at open portion of Lions practice Wednesday. Quandre Diggs (hand) was there ? with a cast on his left hand. At one point he needed his shoe tied.

Aaron Rodgers said he was "moving better" last week in the game. Said he is "not regressing" health-wise but it isn't huge leaps week-to-Week.
Nothing trivial I hope.

With the #Lions cutting CB Dee Virgin yesterday, they haven't signed a player to fill his roster spot. I'm wondering if they put in a claim on DT Jordan Phillips. Former 2nd round pick with talent, but hasn't played well. Seems like a Quinn move to give an underachiever a shot.

The Detroit Lions should claim former Dolphins DT Jordan Phillips.
Detroit need help, and while Phillips comes with red flags, the risks are worth it for the desperate Lions.
