Detroit Lions - Team Notes

Pride Of Detroit Lions Podcast First Byte: How can the Lions upset the Vikings this week? 31 minutes.
The PODcast crew tries to blueprint a Lions? Week 9 victory.

The NFC North race is on and with one game separating first and last place, every game from here on out is crucial. Divisional games count as double, because not only does one team notch a win, but the other tallies a loss (or both teams get a tie, if you?re the Vikings and Packers).

Although morale is down in Detroit, a big game lies ahead for the Lions as they travel to U.S. Bank Stadium to take on the Vikings. The PODcast crew is here to break it all down, and try to formulate a way the Lions?as five-point underdogs?can pull off a big morale-boosting win over their NFC North foes.

This week on First Byte:
Who are these Minnesota Vikings and what have they done with the 2017 Vikings?

The crew tries to break down what?s going wrong with Minnesota?s offense, which is scoring nearly nine points fewer per game.

The Vikings defense is improving, but something is still missing - can the Lions exploit it?

How can the Lions pull off the upset?

Ryan expects a huge bounceback game from the Lions offense and Kerryon Johnson. Jeremy... does not.

Will Damon Harrison Sr. help dominate a weak Vikings offensive line?

Golden Tate trade fallout as it pertains to a solid Vikings secondary.

The crew makes their predictions for Week 9.

Detroit Lions Podcast Episode 179 ? Quick Takes: Off to Minnesota. 27 minutes.

This week we start a new show on the Detroit Lions Podcast that we plan on bringing to you every Friday. Jeff Risdon and Chris will be reviewing the big stories of the week and previewing the upcoming game.

This week we talk about the Golden Tate trade and what it means to the Lions. We discuss how they may adjust and which players are going to need to step up. There?s a lot of angles to this, and Jeff doesn?t leave you wanting ? he never does.

The Detroit Lions Podcast With A Full Court Press
The room formerly known as the ?Dungeon of Doom? makes news again. This time Matt Patricia has to correct one of the beat writers? posture. Very disrespectful. Actually, we discuss the situation and break things out much further than that individual story.

From there we discuss the news about A?Shawn Robinson and his tirade in the locker room today. The info came from one of our favorite writers, Justin Rogers, and we think about some of the implications.

Lastly, we take a look ahead to the game against the Vikings and tell you what to look for and how the Lions could win, and what might cause them to lose.

This is a great opening episode if I say so myself (I do).
