Ameer Abdullah said he wants to be a more well-rounded back as a sophomore.
"Blocking, being the guy you can keep in the game with that," Abdullah said. "Being the guy who can get that third-and-1. Being the guy who can break that long run. Being that guy who can catch the ball out of the backfield. Be the guy you can count on in any situation." It is a great goal for the sophomore, but one he is unlikely to achieve with the Lions seemingly intent on using a committee. Even so, Abdullah should be the clear lead in the backfield and better his 168 touches from a year ago.
