Matthew Stafford had the second-highest passer rating of his career Sunday at 139.8 (23-31 for 270 yards, four touchdowns and no interceptions). Only game better? Last year against New Orleans, when he had a 148.6 rating.

Matthew Stafford passed Jeff George on the all-time passing yardage list. Stafford now has 27,624 yards, good for No. 59 all-time. George had 27,602 career yards. Next up is a big one -- Joe Namath with 27,663 yards.

The Lions were clearly working DE Ezekiel Ansah back into the lineup slowly Sunday against Los Angeles. He only played 55 percent of defensive snaps, less than Devin Taylor and Kerry Hyder. Ansah had missed three weeks due to an ankle injury.
