Detroit Lions - Team Notes

Matthew Stafford said "it's cool" to play in his 100th game Sunday against Washington. Said he hopes there are another 100 out there.

Matthew Stafford said sometimes it's still tough to slide when he's running, especially if it is third down and he isn't past the first down marker yet. He's still learning there but believes it shows his toughness.

Glover Quin said he was fined for his hit against Los Angeles on Sunday. He plans to appeal the fine.

LIONS FACE LONG ODDS TO REACH PLAYOFFS.
Yes, Detroit is just a half-game out of a wild-card spot, but 10 other NFC teams are 3-3 or better. Neither FPI nor Football Outsiders sees a good team here, limiting the Lions' chances.

Eric Ebron, Haloti Ngata, DeAndre Levy and Theo Riddick not at open portion of practice for the Lions. Ebron was doing some running on the side, though. No sign of Brandon Pettigrew, who is eligible to come off PUP, at practice but Corey Fuller is at practice. He is also PUP-eligible and was running routes with receivers.
Larry Warford and Dwayne Washington both limited for Lions in practice.
