Detroit Lions - Team Notes

Reed out, Jackson questionable for Sunday.
PFT

Jordan Reed (concussion) has been ruled out for Week 7.
It's unclear whether Reed had a setback, but the fact that he practiced on a limited basis Wednesday then had no participation on both Thursday and Friday is pretty concerning. Vernon Davis will take over as the Redskins' primary tight end. Niles Paul has been being used in a fullback/H-back role.

Redskins placed WR Josh Doctson (Achilles) on injured reserve.
He'll miss a minimum of eight weeks, meaning the earliest we'd see Doctson back on the field is Week 15. The more likely scenario is that Docton packs it in for the year. He's been battling Achilles issues off and on since minicamp with no signs of improvement. The first-round rookie has played just 31 offensive snaps this year.

DeSean Jackson (shoulder) returned to Redskins practice Friday and is listed as questionable for Week 7.
D-Jax was given Wednesday and Thursday's practices off, but he should be good to go against the Lions. He's a boom-bust WR3 play, albeit in a great matchup.
