Detroit Lions - Team Notes

The Detroit Free Press would be "stunned" if WLB DeAndre Levy (questionable, knee) didn?t play Sunday.
Levy has been practicing on a limited basis since Week 11. All signs point to him returning after missing the last three months.
Levy isn?t going to play every snap but should have a role in his first game back.

This is not a test, DeAndre Levy is back; Theo Riddick out.
Mlive

He's practiced for three weeks, so stamina should not be an issue, though there could be concerns about the risk of re-injury, something that's happened in each of the last two games he has tried to play.
Levy's played only once the last two years.

Among the inactives, Theo Riddick is the biggest surprise. He's battling a wrist injury but did practice all week.
The running back rotation is now trimmed to Dwayne Washington, Zach Zenner and the recently re-signed Joique Bell.
Washington is worth monitoring because of an ankle injury that knocked him out of last week's game against New Orleans.

The rest of the inactives: WR TJ Jones, QB Jake Rudock, LB Thurston Armbrister, C Travis Swanson, OT Cornelius Lucas and DT Khyri Thornton.

Rookie Graham Glasgow is expected to replace Swanson, who is missing his first start of the season at center because of a brain injury.
Laken Tomlinson will take Glasgow's place at left guard.

Lions-Bears inactives: DeAndre Levy returns, but Theo Riddick out.
Freep

Theo Riddick, meanwhile, is inactive for the Lions due to wrist and ankle injuries. Dwayne Washington and Zach Zenner are expected to get the bulk of the work in Riddick's absence.

Along with Levy, six other players listed as questionable on the Lions' injury report are active today: Tahir Whitehead, Ziggy Ansah, Eric Ebron, Marvin Jones, Don Carey and Washington.

Starting center Travis Swanson (concussion) is out for the Lions,
and quarterback Jake Rudock, wide receiver TJ Jones, linebacker Thurston Armbrister, offensive lineman Cornelius Lucas and defensive tackle Khyri Thornton are inactive.

Rookie Graham Glasgow will start in Swanson's place at center, and Laken Tomlinson will take Glasgow's place at left guard.

Wide receiver Eddie Royal, who had 111 yards receiving against the Lions in October, is inactive for the Bears (3-9).

DeAndre Levy back in Lions' lineup, Theo Riddick out.
Detnews

Levy is likely to have a limited role against the Bears.

Additionally, wide receiver Marvin Jones and tight end Eric Ebron are active.
Both had been limited in practice this week and were listed as questionable.

That's the good news. The bad news is running back Theo Riddick is out with a wrist injury. The Lions will lean on a combination of Zach Zenner, rookie Dwayne Washington and the recently re-signed Joique Bell.

Detroit's other inactives are center Travis Swanson, wide receiver TJ Jones, quarterback Jake Rudock, defensive tackle Khyri Thornton, linebacker Thurston Armbrister and offensive tackle Cornelius Lucas.

Thornton, who has started six of the past seven games for the Lions, is a healthy scratch.

Swanson had been ruled out earlier this week with a concussion.
Rookie Graham Glasgow will start in his place, with Laken Tomlinson moving back into the starting lineup at left guard.

DeAndre Levy is active for the first time since Week 1. With Theo Riddick out, expect the Lions to use a lot of Dwayne Washington.

With Theo Riddick INACTIVE, Zach Zenner could see a decent workload bump. Dwayne Washington will also be involved, though, so I couldn't rank any of the Lions' running backs higher than 35th or so.
I'd say RB38 for Zenner, RB42 for Washington, so try to look elsewhere if you can.

Running backs with the most favorable matchups in fantasy football in Week 14 (0-100 scale, with 100 being the most favorable): Mark Ingram (94), Tim Hightower (94), Jeremy Hill (93), Matt Forte (91), Theo Riddick (86), Ryan Mathews (85), Devonta Freeman (79), Tevin Coleman (79).

TAKE THE LIONS -- AND THE POINTS.
These two teams have gone in dramatically different directions since the Bears won the first matchup at home in Week 4. Both our Bears and Lions reporters, as well as ESPN's FPI, expect a Lions rout in Detroit.

Theo Riddick a surprise inactive but don't think value on Lions switches much.
Dwayne Washington becomes borderline flex play. Can catch passes.

Five hardest remaining NFL strengths of schedule: Broncos (.720), Eagles (.677), Giants (.635), Lions (.583), Cowboys (.583).
