Detroit Lions - Team Notes

The Lions have signed CB Crezdon Butler to the active roster.
Lions HC Jim Caldwell said signing Crezdon Butler doesn't necessarily have anything to do with the injury to Darius Slay and his potential availability.

To make room, the Lions put DT Stefan Charles on injured reserve after he injured his knee Monday night.

Lions HC Jim Caldwell said Marvin Jones hasn't necessarily gotten production because of progressions and Matthew Stafford throwing to who is open.
Said there have been times he's gotten off press man coverage and at times he's struggled there.

Matthew Stafford said his finger is not an issue. Said he probably shouldn't have thrown the ball on his pick Monday.

Matthew Stafford said Sunday "is up there for sure" with whether or no this is one of the biggest regular season games of his career.
He won't pay much attention to the Washington-Giants game.

In terms of preparation and rest, the Packers will have a two-and-a-half day advantage over the Lions in their game Sunday for the NFC North title.

Theo Riddick and Andre Roberts miss open portion of practice for the Lions. Darius Slay, Travis Swanson both return.
Miles Killebrew, who left Monday night's game with an eye injury, is also practicing.

Lions CB Darius Slay wouldn't say much to the media Wednesday, but he spent a few minutes dancing in the locker room and appeared to be moving just fine. Asked him if that meant he was feeling fine, he just smiled and walked away.
