Former Lions offensive lineman Geoff Schwartz announced his retirement from the NFL in a post on SB Nation on Tuesday.
Schwartz was most recently with Detroit in training camp but did not play on a team in the 2016 season. A seventh-round pick of Carolina in 2008, he started 37 games in his career between the Panthers, Kansas City and the New York Giants. He also spent one season with Minnesota.
Schwartz also hosts a podcast and is starting a series on YouTube explaining offensive line play.
