The Lions have placed DT Jordan Hill on IR with a biceps injury. They signed DT Derrick Lott to replace him. That's a blow for the Lions.
He had been the team's No. 4 DT. Depth there is much shallower now.

Lions coach Jim Caldwell said ST coach Joe Marciano's home in the Houston area is OK but a lot around it had damage. Some Lions players, including Glover Quin, live in Houston in the offseason.

Jim Caldwell said Tahir Whitehead & Cole Wick "will be ok." Both left Friday's game with injuries.

Jim Caldwell didn't rule out carrying two punters on the initial 53-man roster based on Sam Martin being on the NFI list. Kasey Redfern has had a good preseason. Martin is still out.

Jim Caldwell said he noticed Kony Ealy a lot during Friday's game against New England. Wouldn't say anything about Personnel or transactions, though. Ealy is on waivers.
