Detroit Lions - Team Notes

Lions OC Jim Bob Cooter said often at the beginning of the year it's easier to go with faster tempo because they are healthy at this point in the year.

Jim Bob Cooter said the Lions will play more than three receivers. Praised TJ Jones, though, and made it sound like Jones will get a decent amount of work because he has experience while this is Kenny Golladay's first NFL game.

Jim Bob Cooter said Eric Ebron's role "will show itself as it goes." Said it might be a little bit different this year. Said he's been running around well now and should be ready to go this week.

Jim Caldwell said the key for his team's pass rush -- Detroit's biggest question -- is getting pressure when it matters.

Jim Caldwell said no decision on punt returner yet but could see Jamal Agnew or Golden Tate back there. When asked if there is concern with Tate as PR and his top receiver, Caldwell said he's done it before. Seems surprising Lions don't know who it is Thursday before a game.

All Lions players at practice and working out Thursday. That includes Ezekiel Ansah and Eric Ebron for the second straight day.
