Lions QB Matthew Stafford said the Giants' run defense is "a big challenge" for Detroit this week. The interior linemen either make the play or cause enough havoc to cause some issues.

Matthew Stafford punted a little bit in high school, more of a "quick kick" guy than a punter. Said when Kasey Redfern got hurt, though, the thought crossed his mind.

Lions coach Jim Caldwell said he is preparing as if Odell Beckham Jr is going to play and go from there. Safety Glover Quin said the same thing.

Jim Caldwell on Detroit's run game: "Needs work. Needs work." Detroit's running backs all struggled against Arizona.

Lions HC Jim Caldwell said he believes the franchise handled the fan who posted a racist Snapchat post at Ford Field on Sunday appropriately. Said he would not reach out to those fans.
