Now that it's known Jim Caldwell will return, the biggest non-playoff questions
for the Lions are whether or not DC Teryl Austin will get a head coaching job,
whether the Lions give Caldwell an extension, whether or not QB Matthew Stafford gets an extension
and what the team might do with Riley Reiff and Larry Warford in free agency.

Jim Caldwell says he's thankful to Bob Quinn and the Fords for bringing him back for another year. Won't take any other questions about his job.

Teryl Austin declines to discuss any head coaching interviews. Says he only wants to talk about Seattle.
Teryl Austin said Jim Caldwell has made him a better person, better coach, better man.

Lions DC Teryl Austin said if they can't stop the run against Seattle, they've "got no shot." Detroit has struggled against Dallas and Green Bay there the last two weeks.

Jim Bob Cooter admits saying a running back couldn't play 70 snaps as a successful strategy was a mistake.
Joked that since he didn't play running back in the NFL that knowledge hurt him there.

Jim Bob Cooter said the best advice Jim Caldwell gave him in play-calling:
"Be yourself." He said in fourth-quarter comebacks, he knows the team needs more yards so he's willing to take more risks.

FUESPNINSIDERS: LIONS AREN'T GOING ANYWHERE.
The Seahawks look vulnerable without Earl Thomas, but Matthew Stafford has issues of his own.
Our experts don't see Detroit's 25-year drought without a playoff win ending on Saturday.

Every Lions player at practice today. Andre Roberts in a no-contact jersey.
Travis Swanson didn't do much but was at practice. Riley Reiff, also at practice, appeared to do a bit more today.
The Lions also made their indoor facility absolutely frigid to potentially simulate conditions in Seattle.
