Tigers score 3 in eighth, and beat Royals, 6-3...split 2 gameseries, and win 90th game of year...90 or more wins for first time since 2006 and 18th time in franchise history.

Victor Martinez drove in first three runs with two singles and bounceout - now has 97RBI...2nd single tied game at 3 w/ 2 outs in 7th.

With gm tied 3-3...Cabrera - who had night off - Pinch hit in 8th, and on first pitch, doubled down RF line to score Raburn to make it 4-3.

Three batters later, Don Kelly - who had two good series in Oak. and KC - drilled HR to deep RF to make it 6-3.

Tonight's start was split between Scherzer and Fister...Scherzer went 5IP, gave up 2 earned runs, Fister worked 3 innings, gave up 1 unearned run, and got the win.

Fister now 7-1 as a Tiger....Valverde gave up a couple of hits in the 9th....but closed it out for his 47th (consecutive) save...

Tigers finish road portion of schedule 45-36 - a 16 win improvement from last year, when they won just 29 games away from Comerica Park.
