Miguel Cabrera taking place as Detroit's most dominant athlete ever.
from the detnews
he is the best hitter in the game but to say he is the most dominant Detroit athlete ever isn't accurate. He is basically a one dimentional baseball player. Every other major sport has had at least one player that is more dominant than Cabrera and most played their entire career in Detroit. Heck...he isn't even better than Kaline or Cobb.
Better Hitter than Kaline, and Al has gone on record to say the same. Not taking anything away from Al, he was a Chess Master playing checkers playing baseball. A HOF Hitter and a Legendary GOAT Rightfielder......but Miggy has more Power. Cobb is the Standard.
Greats like Al, Greenberg, Heilmann, Gehringer, Crawford, ..Miggy is right there now as I see it as a Greenberg type with the Power and Average.
If Cabrera signs another contract to 'effectively' retire as a Tiger, Miggy will be next to Cobb All-Time in Tigers History. jmho.
