Detroit Tigers Team Notes Over 3 Million Views!!! Thankyou!

Inge is a .265 career hitter vs. LHP (he hit .245 vs LHP in 2011, .170 vs. RHP).

Tigers valued Ramon Santiago enough to give him a multi year deal, but not enough to give him any starts over a sub .200 hitter?

Worth is likely headed to Toledo in a week or so, hence why there is no utility infielder on that roster.

Raburn will be primary 2B -- for now -- with Inge platooning against LHers and Santiago working in the back-up mix at shortstop and 2B.

Yes, when Miguel got hurt.

Was wondering if they'd do that, or just have him focus on second. To me this shows that when push comes to shove, if something happens to Cabrera (and Inge doesn't implode and get released before that point) Brandon will step in as the full time 3B. But I'd bet that in the interim Kelly will play there when they want to give Miguel a blow.

All I/we should get from this inge saga is Leyland can't be trusted with what he said a few weeks back that Inge has to hit. Unless this comes from Mr. Ilitch or DD w/inge's salary.

I was in a hurry to get to a couple of appts. when posting the last couple of posts in the thread, Kelly/Worth/Santiago should all be in the backup mix for 2nd/Short/3rd from what I can see.

The day that inge is no longer a Tiger, is the day I smoke one of the Cuban cigars I've been saving for a special occasaion. I never had anything against him up until the past 2 years, just brewing and simmering over with all the whining and excuses. Media is also to blame to a degree, in part, because he is always available for his sucktastic excuse filled interviews.

Left hamstring strain for Tigers reliever Luis Marte, team announces. He's heading to DL.

Considering spring-camp battle, Tigers will have an easy time promoting Villarreal now that Luis Marte has hit the DL with a hamstring.
Brayan Villarreal and Duane Below were both optioned to Triple-A Toledo on Sunday. By rule, the Tigers can recall either of them immediately to fill an injury void.

Tigers decide to instead go with long reliever -- Duane Below -- over Villarreal after Luis Marte hits DL with bad hamstring.

Tigers have placed Luis Marte on the 15-day DL with a left hamstring strain. Duane Below has been recalled from AAA Toledo.
