Detroit Tigers Team Notes Over 3 Million Views!!! Thankyou!

no Tigers roster moves yet - but Inge isn't listed on lineup card for today - even among reserves - could be waiting to see how he feels.
Inge, a couple of minutes ago: "I don't have a lot of pain right now, but it's tight." He'll wait on what trainers have to say today.

Leyland says roster decision could go until deadline -- 5 p.m. Wednesday. Depends in great part on their Inge deliberations.

Leyland on roster possibilities: "This could wind up several ways. I just don't know."

Common thread among earlier Tigers roster decisions that weren't just (Higginson, Willis, Robertson, Rhymes, etc.). All were soon gone.

Updates on two past Tigers: Casper Wells batted .184 in spring, .327 OBP, .211 slugging. Will Rhymes optioned by the Rays to the minors.

Inge said he is better for second day in a row. This doesn't sound like a long-term injury.

more henning.

Brandon Inge on the mend; will he soon be on the move?
from the freep

If the Tigers are going to release Inge before Opening Day, they must do so by 2 p.m. today. Otherwise, he wouldn?t clear waivers in time to come off the roster before Opening Day. There hasn?t been any sign the Tigers will let him go before 2 p.m.
It is known there has been some trade interest for Inge.
It is believed that Inge would waive his no-trade rights and accept any trade. That?s entirely logical.

Rick Porcello will start for the Tigers on Wednesday in Toledo opposite Fu-Te Ni.
That would be 6 LHP competing in the Toledo rotation.

Inge UPDATE @5pm 4/02: Leyland said after Monday?s win that Inge will not play in Tuesday?s Grapefruit League finale, and he isn?t sure about Wednesday?s exhibition in Toledo. Wednesday?s game might not matter, as Leyland indicated they?ll set the roster sometime Tuesday.

?I think we?ll have everything etched in stone by tomorrow,? Leyland said.

Leyland confirmed that the Inge issue, specifically his health, is the one question holding up the process.

?We have to figure out the health issue,? Leyland said. ?We?re not holding off for any other reason.?
