Leyland: "Sometimes, when you put to much emphasis on a series, it doesn?t work out right, then you have a relapse for another week or so."

Leyland on trade rumors: "We don't talk about anything here. My boss is very good about keeping things under his hat."

Scherzer: "I?ve never been good, it seems like, coming out of the All-Star break ? 4 days away, and we?re such creatures of habit."
Avila: "I think our team has kind of put it in our heads that we?ve got to take every game extremely important."
Avila: "We?re in the middle of summer now, in a pennant race. We?re only a couple games back of the White Sox, and every game is important".
Avila on whether fist-pump after HR was because he hadn't hit one since May 22: "Nah, I could care less".
Avila on HR: "I knew ... I got it, but to see Trout go up there like Spiderman, you never know with that kid."
Avila: "Those OFs, those guys were ridiculous. All series they were running down stuff. They got a workout this series."
