Scherzer: My arm's responding to the medicine. A lot of the inflammation in my arm is out. I had a good session today.
Scherzer: I was able to play catch and felt no pain, felt good, ball was jumping out of my hand.
Scherzer: The big thing will be tomorrow, I've got to really air it out, be able to let it fly & be able to throw all my pitches.
Scherzer: If I am able to do that tomorrow, I don't see there's a reason why I wouldn't be able to start on Sunday.
Scherzer: If I'm able to really air out my fastball and able to throw my off-speed pitches from 60ft,6" in my mind I'd be 100% good to go.
Scherzer: I got out to about 75 ft and was playing nice and easy catch, but the ball was really coming out of my hand a lot better.
Scherzer: Once I can get out to 90 feet and throw the ball as hard as I can, when I can do that, that's when I know I'm right.
Scherzer: I'm expecting I should be able to make the start.
Scherzer: After talking to the doctors and realizing there's no structural damage, I don't have fears about hurting my arm any further.
However, the call will be made by the medical staff, per Leyland.
and yes it would be Smyly.
