Tigers manager Jim Leyland thought about bringing Valverde in to finish Game 4, he told ESPN's "Mike and Mike."
"I kind of questioned myself last night, should I have brought him in that last inning, to get him back out there, but I wasn?t sure how the emotion would be in that situation, after he had a couple of bad outings. I thought it wasn?t the time. But he?ll be an important factor for us in this World Series, but I?ll just have to play things by ear."
