Detroit Tigers Team Notes Over 3 Million Views!!! Thankyou!

Tigers GM Dave Dombrowski has to figure out what to do with the team's two players from the Rule 5 Draft, pitcher Kyle Lobstein and second baseman Jeff Kobernus, MLB.com's Jason Beck writes. It might be possible for Dombrowski to work out a trade with the Rays to keep Lobstein and send him to the minor leagues, Beck suggests, but swinging a deal with the Nationals to keep Kobernus will be more difficult.

The Padres like Tigers pitcher Rick Porcello, Rosenthal notes, but are unwilling to part with a "top reliever." The Angels might make sense as a destination for Porcello, but the Angels are currently more concerned with finding a backup catcher and a relief pitcher.

Scherzer's afternoon is done after 5 innings of 1-run ball. Bruce Rondon is on to face middle of Nationals order in 6th.

Rondon rears back and fires fastball past LaRoche for K to strand Harper on 2nd. A walk, 2 K's, 19 pitches, 11 strikes.

In bizarro Grapefruit League, Tigers follow Rondon's inning by hitting around ex-FA closer Rafael Soriano: 5 singles, a walk, 4-run 7th.

Nats' Jordan Zimmerman had shut down the Tigers (18 straight) through 6 innings, giving up only a leadoff single to Dirks in the 1st inning...yikes!! Scherzer however, has limited the Nats to 1 run on 6 hits w/ one BB & 4 Ks before giving way to Rondon to start the bottom 6th.

Fortunately the Tigers have got to Rafael Soriano in relief and have tied the game up 1-1 in the top 7th by singles from Hunter and Prince, Now leading the Nats 2-1 on a walk to VMart and an RBI single by Avila. Tigers still batting in the top 7th w/ 2 on 2 out. Now 3-1 on a RBI single by Infante, Razor Ramon RBI singles 4-1 Tigers....still 2 on 2 out. Pitching change by the Nats...Fernando "Abad" replaces Soriano. Kobernus AB & flys out to CF to end the Tigers rally.

Marte in to relieve Rondon in the bottom of the 7th, he gives up only a single to the Nats' catcher Ramos and Ked Espinoza swinging.

Henry Rodriguez in to pitch the top 9th for the Nats...Don Freaking Kelly leading off & coaxes a BB on 4 straight pitchs...good job Donnie!!! Infante up next and does likewise, replaced by Worth as PR. Tigers w/RISP & no outs. Ramon HBP, bases loaded. Tigers "should" score here.

Storen in for the Nats top 8th, walks Collins leading off on 4 straight balls, then Ks Russo and Tuiasosopo both on 3 straight swinging strikes...go figure...Jeff McVaney (who?) PH for VMart and singles, but the next Tigers' batter, Brian Holaday, Ks looking on 3 straight called strikes.

Villarreal in for the Tigers in the bottom 8th, gives up a single to the leadoff hitter and ex-Twin Span, but gets the ugly-bearded Jayson Werth to foul popout, the "other" Zimmerman (Ryan) to groundout, and Ks Harper swinging in 3 pitches.
