Dominic Raiola

I was thinking about that earlier...Suh has to be the most pissed at Raiola. People had finally moved on from the Suh stomp and now it will be mentioned in every single article/media report because of this.

And after he goes to ny next year we'lol prolly never about it again as if it never happened. lol

I think the team needs to be pissed at Raiola, not just Suh. He has the biggest potential game of his career coming up next week, and he goes and jeopardizes everything by that ridiculous action. As much as we don't like the guy, he's the best option at center. Throwing a rookie in at Lambeau against that team and crowd is going to be a nightmare.

He's a great person. Is the team appreciably better than they were last year overall? It feels like the main difference so far are the fluky things (turnovers for and against). We jumped from 30th last year to 10th so far this year, but those have no real carryover value from year to year.

Yes the defense is a lot better, but is that Caldwell or Austin? The offense is a lot worse, is that Lombardi or Caldwell? He's supposed to be a QB guru, but Matt's having a down year. I guess I just don't know. If someone hires Austin next year and we still tear it up on D, I'll say he's for sure a good coach. But right now we haven't learned a lot other than he's different. He looks silly on the sidelines and has poor clock management, but I'm not going to pretend that's a big part of being an NFL head coach.

Very good take on whats really happening. National media gives caldwell the credit....im not sure how much he deserves.

Stafford's INT's are down though. And he seems to be maturing a bit more under Caldwell.

I like that his INT are down though at times I want to see the down field passes..but the passing being down would be fine if we were a better running team. Then I wouldn't mind so much.

Stafford's INTs and INT% are down, which is great. My biggest issue with Stafford is how little the offense has accomplished with an otherwise weak slate of defenses. 7 of our 15 games this year have been against legitimately bad defenses. 4 of those 7 were against the three worst defenses in the league so far. We beat those teams, which is the most important part, but we've proved we can lose low-scoring games too. The team is averaging something like 12 ppg against potential playoff opponents (NE, GB, and AZ). Maybe year two we'll see a leap, but it never hurts to have a backup plan.

He freaking takes himself out one of the most important games in recent Lions history...
I hope we move off him next year.... In fact we should trade him to another bad club that losses ...

We're moving on from him THIS WEEK!! Wanna bet the overall blocking looks better than it has all year, this week? Sorry Dom, in the biggest moment of your career, we've found your replacement and the most important playoff moment of your career will be spent watching it from the bench. Oh, and if we make it to the sb we might have to cut you the day of the SB to add another o linemen to the roster. Sorry bud, it's been real

Caldwell should have released him instead of defending him, but Caldwell also hasn't been part of the organization long enough to have experienced Dom's other actions so I get why he may have been inclined to give him the benefit of doubt.

Still, would love for Lions to say to Dom we are moving toward the future today, appreciate all you have done to help us get to this point but it is time to let you go. I think the biggest challenge in releasing Dom is, who would be Swanson's backup? Gotta have a legit backup plan at all times. Who is Swanson's backup this week? They are very thin on the OL. Maybe they can move Ebron to OT??? BWAHAHAHAHAHA!

Can't Austin play center too? Not sure if he's even on the roster though

Honestly, that would be the most fitting end of all... release Dom after the final week, and bring in another lineman... then win a SuperBowl.

Sorry Dom, you're bullshit means your team wins a title, but you don't. Buh Bye.

Raiola is pathetic. He's consistently dirty and stupid on the field. I'm hoping he retires or we can just move on from him next year. How this guy isn't public enemy #1 locally is beyond me. Maybe he's just not good enough to get the ire, but that sure hasn't stopped us from hating Inge, Grilli, Charlie V., and some of the other local turds who refused to be flushed.

One of the biggest games in modern day franchise history coming up Raiola, have fun watching it from your couch ya freakin assclown.

Thought that this was the last year of Reamhola's contract? Anyway, only the Raiders have a penchant for taking on douchebags with on/off-field issues. Some other clubs do as well, but most often only those players who were or are very good if not elite @ their position.
