Draft Day 3 Thread

Add to my wish list DT Kwame Gaethers. I didn't even realize he wasn't drafted.

Joe Fauria is another huge TE. 6'7" and about 260.

Guess the Lions want to look at some more beef out there.

After hearing the Schwartz presser on Martinn, I'm actually digging this pick.

He's a punter who averaged 45 yards a punt his senior year, and 40 yard per his first three years. But more importantly he can kick off.

I like the idea of saving Akers leg for field goals and taking some wear and tear off the old man, so a punter who can kick off is a natural fit, especially one that can kick 45 yard averages.

Who? Our kicker is featured on YouTube....

You mean our pseudo-kicker?

If kicking a ball into a basketball hoop got you points, then Havard Ruglard would be a superstar.... and maybe one who could get you some points during the season, with enough tries and edits.

I'm not actually sour on the signing... I just want to see him kick a few from 50+ yards, in pads, with a defender coming towards him before I say goodbye to Akers.

Yeah me too...and I'm actually hoping he beats Akers out.

Hell yes elrod... I am hoping so too.

I'm not excited about Akers, but I want the best leg out there. I don't care if it's Akers, Rugland, or an as yet unsigned guy.

No matter how good a guy is, I want someone to kick his ass and take his job, because that guy must be even better.

And I'd rather just not have Akers.

Right on. The Akers signing is actually the one that I disagreed with...I'm no scout, but it seems like he's on the decline and his best years are behind him. Not that I'm sold on Kickalicious by any means, but if he can do what he does with pads on like you said. The leg strength is definitely there...

We’re spoiled with kickers, Murray then Hanson. I want a young guy that will be here 20+ years, not a retread that has seen his best days.

All hail Havard!

Peace out cub scouts...off to the pub for some Red Wing, Tiger, and decent NFL draft pints. They shall be Pintalicious.

Yep. Two starting kickers in my lifetime.

Yep same here Monster. An incredible fact when you think about it.

Good draft....good off season for that matter. Draft was going really well....rds 4-7 there were some head scratchers. The trade down still makes no sense to me. Riddick/Fuller might not even make the team. Seemed like mayhew took over after rd 3. Would have liked to see more focus on getting an olb that could compete with palmer for one of the starting spots.
