Get StartedWe have a complete lack of elite talent on this team. We are in a complete rebuild and won?t be competitive next year. You take the best available this year in the top rounds regardless of position. Hell we will probably need to do the same thing next year. We do not have the players to compete in pretty much every phase of the game. We get playmakers the next two drafts and fill holes in FA and future drafts. We need talent
Havent taken WR since 2007 Calvin in Round 1
Davis in 2017
What if Parsons is like Davis or even worse Reuben Foster
Boils down to the Wrs are deemed better players and prospects than Parsons. But it still unknown of course
Can?t blame Holmes for what was done in the past. I think it is narrow minded to say that. WR is still a major need for us. Don?t see how WR are overvalued? Most of the best teams have a true alpha WR. This is a passing league WR is quickly becoming one of the most important positions on the field. Guess agree to disagree here.

Always picking in the top 15 and dont have any talent. Shitty GM after shitty GM picking shitty player after shitty player.
Decker, Ragnow, Jackson have talent. Vaitai tbd and Crosby contract year
Williams and Perriman have talent..williams is injury risk
amd Perriman is drops and route running. Still need a number 1 and long term. 1 year deals for others
3 rbs with talent, tight end with talent
Dline flowers, hand, brockers, owkwaras with talent
Lb collins has talent. Anazalone can cover but injury risk. Need more here maybe 2
Cb ao and okudah have talent. Need to grow and have scheme and pass rush help. Need a slot and a vet
Safety walker has talent but contract year. Need more here too.
Goff has played well 2 years and not so well 2 years. First overall pick talent here
Where you are picked and NFL talent are 2 VERY different things. Jamarcus Russell was a 1st overall pick. Ryan Leaf 2nd overall. Pettigrew was 21st overall. He had very little NFL talent.
People on this board need to stop equating WHERE people are drafted with the talent they show on an NFL field.
Pop Quiz:
Of these 2 groups, which has more members in NFL Hall of Fame?
A. #1 Overall Pick
B. Undrafted Free Agents
There is a limited number of 1 overall picks at one per year. Undrafted free agents has a ton more people. Like many per year.
I would say % of 1st overall picks are good players compared to undrafted free agents. There are many many many many undrafted that are awful and don't make it 2 years. Even 1 year
All of which only adds to the argument we are better off trading back and gathering as many picks as possible.

Shows that the Lions must overcome history with #7 pick as no #7 picks are in HoF. Trade back to #15 and add a pick? Great call...though it appears we would not be counting on the #15 pick to be a HoFer either, but maybe...MAYBE the additional pick we get is the one that is a HoFer.
My point here is just get as many picks as possible. That is the key. Trade back at every opportunity, even for picks in future drafts. One needs a shitload of darts to hit that bullseye.

The only appropriate way to measure such a statement would be to say by the rate of, which means #1 overall picks by a long shot.
