Pride Of Detroit Lions Podcast: Debating Darius Slay?s future with the Detroit Lions, XFL Week 1 review.
Darius Slay, the XFL and the NFL Draft dominate a mailbag-heavy episode of the PODcast.

The Detroit Lions have a Darius Slay problem right now. Entering the final year of his contract, the Pro Bowl cornerback appears to have some serious demands. He made it quite clear over the weekend that he?s hoping to reset the cornerback market and lock down the richest contract at his position.

That leaves Detroit in a precarious situation. They likely have the money to do so, but given their massive needs across the board, is it worth spending it on a 29-year-old cornerback coming off a down year (by his standards)?

There?s no easy answer. The Lions defense can?t afford to lose a talent like Slay, but spending that much on a player?after they just handed Trey Flowers, Justin Coleman and Jesse James lucrative deals?could put them in a tough situation to improve elsewhere.

On this week?s PODcast, Ryan and Jeremy debate Darius Slay?s future while answering all of your mailbag questions and discussing the XFL?s (second) debut. Make sure you listen, subscribe and give us a review!

This week on the PODcast:
The XFL makes an impressive debut. Jeremy and Ryan discuss their favorite parts of opening weekend.

Jeremy has found his XFL team and tries to bring Ryan along.

MEGA MAILBAG.
Going through all the possible trade scenarios for the Lions? No. 3 pick.

Jeremy and Ryan tell their Pride of Detroit origin story.

Wide receivers! When is too early to grab a wide receiver in this draft and would Jerry Jeudy make a bigger impact than a guy like Jeff Okudah?

We debate the future of Darius Slay if he truly wants $17 million a year.

Would you rather be the Lions? GM, head coach or owner?
