Draft Thread 2020

Webvideo: Lions Wire's Jeff Risdon joins Ourlads to break down the Lions draft. 34 minutes.

I was honored to join the Ourlads Football Network to represent the Lions and discuss the team?s outlook heading into the 2020 NFL Draft.

We covered a wide range of Lions topics, building up to the draft and what directions the Lions might go with their selections. Team needs, free agent comings and goings, the pulse on Bob Quinn and Matt Patricia and more made their way into a fun, fast-paced conversation.

Ourlads has produced several of these team-centric draft videos and they are available on YouTube as well. They?re worth checking out to get deeper looks at what some other teams might be doing in the draft.

Pride Of Detroit Lions Blog Podcast: 2020 Detroit Lions NFL Draft preview, predictions with PFF?s Brett Whitefield. 82 minutes.
We break down everything you need to know about the Lions? 2020 NFL Draft.

It?s officially NFL Draft week, and this year we are kicking things off with a supersized version of the PODcast. To make things extra special, we added TWO guests this week: our own Alex Reno makes his triumphant return to the podcast, while we continue our annual tradition of heard PFF?s perspective from Michigan?s own Brett Whitefield.

The four-man crew discusses Bob Quinn?s press conference before jumping into this year?s draft class. Which players are being overrated? Who is being underrated? And what?s the deal with all the Derrick Brown slander in Detroit?

Then the crew jumps into their Detroit Lions predictions. Will they be able to trade out of three? Will they draft a running back? Where does Tua Tagovailoa go? And then everyone makes one bold prediction for the Lions? 2020 NFL Draft class.

Finally, we finish by answering your mailbag questions, including thoughts on a potential Leonard Fournette trade, potential edge rushers that fit the Lions and whether there?s any actual concerns about Ohio State cornerback Jeff Okudah.

A CB early is the best way to get rid of Quinn and Patty. If they're on the outs a CB usually isn't helping in year one.
