Election Aftermath

"It's anxiety reducing," said Williams, a stay-at-home mom , of what the new benefits mean for her. "It's not stressing, wondering what you are going to do if the money runs out before the month is over."

Well...NO SHIT. The money will run out when you are a stay at home mom with 5 fucking kids. Don't make enough to file a tax return...WTF?? Go get a job you dead beat.

Maxine Waters "I've been putting this flier out in my community."

Maxine Waters lives in a $6mm mansion and her "community" has a median home price of $3.2mm - a 1.5k sq ft 2 bed 3 bath apartment goes for $830k.

she should have to live in squalor in order to be a legislator, and advocate for tax policies.

only Republican congressmen, CEOs, and private equity guys should be able to live in $6MM homes in CA.

this one only gets 2 straw men due to it being a repeat - granted everything you post is a repeat since you're incapable of having an original thought, but this one is overused and therefore, worth less.

I'm sorry, what did her house have to do with her job as a legislator, and being happy about a tax credit that benefits lower-income Americans? did she get the house for pushing benefits toward some large corporation or wealthy individual?

You are sorry, that's for sure. The fact that you're defending one of the most corrupt members of Congress who consistently uses her position to profit herself and her family with straw man arguments says a lot about what an ill-informed partisan hack you are.

This is well known and has been documented on DSF several times but I'll spell it out for you again - I'll type slow so you can keep up. Maxine Waters doesn't live in the district she represents, she talks about it as if it were her community, but it's not. She's a complete fraud that doesn't give a shit about the poor people in LA and doesn't have any clue what it's like to live in her district because it's not her community.

maybe I am a sorry person, but she's advocating for a policy that doesn't benefit the wealthy, so pointing out that's she has a $6MM house seems like the actual strawman argument here.

and with your comment that she's "one of the most corrupt members of congress," you're pushing the argument way off topic here, (probably because your argument is shit) but what is your basis for even claiming that?

various sites peg her net worth as between $2-$3MM.

She's not even close to the top 50 wealthiest members of congress

she's been in congress since 1991, and not even cracking the top 50. If she's corrupt, she's not very good at it...

Maybe the law will be beneficial to the general welfare; we?ll see.

The clip I posted is from a local TV broadcast I saw here in LA.

Maxine Waters is/was at least as responsible for the LA riots following the ?Rodney King trial? as Trump was for January 6 - nothing she could ever do will change that.

She makes this list - notice there a LOT of Republicans who qualify, too.

Waters? mantra was ?no Justice no peace.? Over and over to any camera or microphone in sight, ?no Justice no peace.? Her message to the streets was unmistakable?

the bio of the guy who wrote that opinion putting the blame on everyone but the cops who used excessive force:
He was formerly the VP/creative director for All Comedy Radio, Voice of America producer and Passion Arts minister at Living Faith Christian Church in So. Cal. He is the co-author of The Politically Incorrect Guide to Immigration and the counter-terrorism memoir Hostile Intent, and several plays, including A Christmas Scene, The Table and the original musical Bethlehem. He?s married, with two puppies.

I could sum that up in one word: douchenozzle

Hmm... I always kinda thought the cops that beat the living shit out of Rodney King for 8+ minutes were responsible for the LA riots, but maybe.

Nope.

They were responsible for beating the living shit out of Rodney King.

Two of them ultimately ended up being convicted and doing time for federal civil rights violations because of that.

I don?t remember why the other two skated. Oh well. A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.

I don?t think they participated in the riots.

I?m pretty sure they just went straight home from the court room after the verdict.

In the olden days, when Michigan used to beat good Ohio State teams and I, along with the rest of the crowd used to cheer, was I solely responsible for my own happiness? I have been giving Charles Woodson credit for all these years.

read the whole post dummy - she's saying she was spreading fliers about the program "in her community." She lives in a community where 2 bedroom apartments cost $830k and the median house price is over $3mm. It doesn't benefit people in her actual community and I'd bet anything she didn't drop a single flier there or in the district she represents, which is not the district where she lives. Why has it taken this long for you to figure this out? Goodness you are dumb.

also, her rank in the top 50 is yet another straw man. Most of the people ahead of her on the list made their money before they were in congress. What matters is how her wealth has changed since becoming a member of Congress. Not surprising that you also need that explained to you.

Also, this policy doesn't really benefit poor people as much as you think and it benefits corporations more than you think. It's another subsidy that creates a dependent class and like other welfare benefits, it has the effect of driving wages down so the corporations you hate so much can pay less for unskilled labor.

The cops were not primarily secondarily or tertiaryly responsibility for the riots because they beat Rodney King.

I think Michamp introduced the next level, maybe it was quadrarily I don?t know.

Then I linked to a list words that mean from 5 to 10, and there was another word for 12

Is there a word on that list that describes the cops degree of culpability for the riots? Yeah, probably.
