My Congressperson, Brad Sherman, a conservative Jew (not politically conservative, that?s his religion) a Democrat, gets my vote because he stands up against the the anti-Semitic elements in his own party, namely Ilhan Omar and Rashaida Tlaib.

not that he needs my vote, I live in the most limousine liberal districts in the country.

If it?s not, the most, is very much one of the most.

Maybe my friend MHughes lives in a more limousine liberal district than I do, I?m not that familiar with San Diego politics.

I hardly see the value or reason to vote at the Federal level any more. Those people are simply another coat of Rust Oleum on the corrosion that has eroded the principles of self-government, the agents of such being the bureaucracy that has burrowed into our lives like unwelcome ticks.

I?ve kind of done the opposite. I used to vote based on morals and character but those people dont win elections - at least not at the federal level. Now I hold my nose and vote for the person I think best aligns with me politically.

no one wonder you don't understand how any of this works - your leaders are just as clueless and dumb. Clearly, the guy who indicted Trump doesn't understand the law and one of your heroes in Congress doesn't understand the Constitution, especially the bit about due process...

In case you haven't figured out the problem here, Trump is afforded the assumption of innocence and it's the prosecutor that has to prove he is guilty. For your benefit, an indictment isn't proof of guilt they actually have to have a trial assuming the charges aren't thrown out.

Regarding the no one is above the law claim, she forgot to mention the exemptions for powerful Democrats like the Clintons, Bidens, herself and her husband, etc. Maybe she thought that was too obvious.

You should try doing a little research. Michael Cohen went to prison for tax evasion and making false statements to a bank related to loans to fund his massive taxi medallion and real estate fraud scheme. Linking his payments to Stormy Daniels from his personal funds to campaign finance law is no less weak than what Bragg is trying to do here.

Cohen is on record saying to his adviser (Robert Costello) that the payments were made by him personally and had nothing to do with the campaign or campaign funds. Costello (who doesn't represent Trump and is no fan of him) quotes Cohen saying "I will do whatever the ?f? I have to do, I will never spend one day in jail." Cohen subsequently changed his story (i.e. he lied) in exchange for a lighter sentence for his actual and far more serious crimes. This guy is your star witness. but of course, the truth doesn't matter because "Orange Man Bad"

I do think the prosecutor has gone way over the line today by announcing that, yes, he will be trying Trump as an adult for these crimes.
