Election Aftermath

I don?t know how Dems could not like this, clearly it proves the America first President hates America. That seems like a pretty good thing for the party that wants to tear everything down because it?s all based on racist, misogynist, homo- and trans-phobic patriarchal colonizing cultural appropriating fascism. That?s how they prove they?re the ones who actually love America.

Country is happy. 56% to 33% are in favor of him being charged today.

Meh.

I don?t think all Democrats believe this.

Joe Manchin doen?t seem to.

Call me Nellie Forbush, but I believe the people closer to the middle can start talking again and take back the narrative from strident partisans and say ?hey you and you - go to your corners, grown ups are talking again.?

Yeah, there?s probably nothing everyone agrees with but that?s small consolation when the radicals are the ones getting their way. And while not everyone agrees with them they have the majority of the media and there?s more than enough dopey cheerleader useful idiot types like Johnny to vote for this stupidity.

There does appear to be pushback from the more centrist types which is encouraging but we have a long way to go.

Oh, well in that case never mind the Constitution then. Excellent point you must have aced high school civics class. This poll tells a bit of a different story, it also indicates people are pretty dumb - 14 statements 7 are the inverse of the other 7 and Americans strongly support 10 of the 14. I wonder why we don?t do justice by majority vote in this country (except in this case apparently)?

I'm pretty disappointed with these 34 felony counts. It seems like he got caught speeding and they gave him 34 tickets. I was hoping that they were all different and had some teeth. I really don't want this guy running for office again.

If Trump weren't polling so high, no charges would have been pressed. So grave are they.

What a tough day for Republicans, which is always great for America.

In the morning, the Putin loving wing of the Republican Party took a hit with Finland officially joining NATO.

In the afternoon, the unquestioned supreme ruler of the GOP was charged with 34 felonies in open court.

In the evening, Wisconsin voters flipped the state supreme court to liberal by electing a progressive candidate who ran on protecting abortion rights. Also, Chicago, Green Bay, and Madison all elected progressive mayors. Wisconsin Dems already have ballot proposals cued up that will ungerrymander one of the country's most gerrymandered states, that the court there will now allow the voters to decide on. Wisconsin is a 50-50 state, this will ultimately result in close to 50-50 representation in DC and in Madison.

But carry on with your culture wars, because somewhere, you just know there's some LGTBQ person who you can terrorize some more.

About what I expected, and apparently there are audio tapes of Trump acknowledging the crimes. He's facing 34-170 years in prison for these crimes, but I am not sure he'll spend a day in jail for them, but that's no longer a sure thing. And he paid off 2 sex workers plus a doorman with the story on one of his illegitimate children (one of the few ones he didn't pay to have aborted.) Why does Melania stay?

Georgia, and the Federal investigations were always going to be more serious. And apparently he showed classified top secret documents to donors at Mar a Lago, so that's why espionage act violations are being investigated there.

Trump will go on trial in New York in January of 2024.

what? Chicago, Madison and Green Bay elected progressive mayors? And Finland joined NATO? That's it Republicans, it's lights out for you...game over, Chicago has flipped progressive.

And have you seen the news lately? Are you sure it's conservatives that are terrorizing the LGBTQ community and not the other way around?

Edit: here's a quick civics lesson for you - Wisconsin isn't going to be "ungerrymandered," it's about to be gerrymandered by the other team.

George Wallace couldn't have said it better.

Lining up the dominos for the flick of the index finger. Then, we'll soon be eating rotten turnips and bugs. Truly, something to celebrate.

Only because he was way ahead in the polls. Otherwise, he's not even in the news.

No, she ran on denying inalienable right to life to the unborn.

You say "progressive"; I counter with "man like unto God."

But carry on with your culture wars, because somewhere, you just know there's some LGTBQ person who you can terrorize some more.
A fallacy and a prevarication to the edge of reason and beyond.

Spot on. ?He is the only man in American presidential history who could pay off two porn stars, and orchestrate a criminal conspiracy to cover it up in the final crucial days of a presidential election, and have people think that it was ?trivial.'? Charlie Sykes

And where's the "Why does Melania stay?" pearl clutchers? The same ones who couldn't express enough outrage when Bill Clinton got caught cheating? "I had to explain oral sex to my 6 year old." "What about Chelsea?"

Well, Melania knows her husband paid an ugly as hell porn star hush money for cheating with him when she was in the hospital recovering from the difficult birth of their son. She knows he paid a playboy model hush money too to keep quiet about their several years long affair they had while he was married to her. She knows he has illegitimate children toonow. Does she not care because she's too a former sex worker? What about Barron, how hard on it is him knowing his dad cheats whenever he gets a chance? Aren't people having to explain to their children what a porn star is and why the former Preisdent had to pay them off?

Except paying people to keep their mouths shut isn't a crime. Other than that, I guess it's spot on. Thanks Charlie Sykes. If you're trying to make some kind of moral equivalence argument here, you're failing at that too. I bet if you asked any American, getting paid to keep your mouth shut would be preferable to getting the Clinton assisted suicide treatment. And why would you ever explain oral sex to your six year old? Maybe just turn off the TV when they're in the room, like anyone who isn't a moron would do.

If you?re a Kindergarten teacher in Florida, you can?t do that in school anymore.

They took it out of the curriculas.

that's what I thought. Isn't a NDA just a payoff so somebody doesn't run their mouth?

From what I gather, his crimes are illegal use of campaign funds. If that's the case, my guess is almost every politician is guilty of this crime. Whether it's $130K or $50.
