Eric Ebron

I'll have to disagree...i thought he was used horribly. 1st 2 years were chalked up to some learning curve crap so he was seldomly used. Then he spent 2 years running 2 yard speed outs. A stretch the field match up problem running 2 yard routes. Stafford and jbc created this offense... and this is more proof they are both morons.

You're blaming Stafford for Ebron's inefficiency as a Lion?! lol. Dude, who did he rape in your family?? For real!!!!
This isn't Stafford's offense either. He didn't help "create" it. This is Cooter's offense. Sure, an offense that Stafford has flourished under but it's not his. Where the fuck do you come up with this shit, man???
I always thought Ebron was a good TE and I do agree that he wasn't used properly in this offense but there was a lot of mouths to feed in Detroit while Ebron was here. Tate, M.Jones, Riddick was catching a lot of balls and a rookie named Golladay last yr that looked like he was going to be something special. What's in Indy besides Hilton??? NOBODY. That's who. Ebron has showed up as a solid #2 option in that offense and has even succeeded as a #1 when Hilton has been shelved. No surprise he's playing good as a Colt.
Saying all that, I still wanted Ebron to remain a Lion. He probably wouldn't be putting up the numbers here that he's putting up in Indy but he'd be opening up that offense more than it is right now. Detroit is missing that special TE. That's pretty much the only piece missing in that offense. Probably another RG to replace Lang too. Offense is close to being set...

Disagree the offense doesn?t seem to throw to TE?s and ebron couldn?t block for shit

Would also note everytime it try to type ebron on this damn auto correct tablet it my thumb always hits n instead of b and I try to post Enron before I catch and correct

Stupid shit

I wouldn't say that the offense isn't designed for TEs. The Lions just have better options in Tate, MJones and Golladay. My guess would have been that Ebron would have had a lot of nice matchups because Golladay has been so strong ths yr. We would have had 4 strong options to throw the ball to this yr. That's a nightmare for defenses. Who do you cover?? This offense is missing a TE and when we get one, it's going to be scary...

I can't believe how little Luke Willson has done this year. Our TE group is really pathetic

I believe it. He's not even an option here as a weapon. Go look at his career numbers. They're pathetic lol. Ya, he's a decent blocker but that's it.
Try living in Windsor ON. When Willson signed, people around here thought it was the second coming of Tony Gonzalez lol.

I didn't expect that, lol. I did expect 3-5 targets per game though

Stafford was
4th in TDs in 2017 and 7th in TDS in 2015.
14th in TDS in both 2014 and 2016. Made playoffs both those years and Matt played well.
He got plenty of TDs. Just to other people, despite no run game to help him get more TDs. And at time bad protection too.

6th in 2013, 19th in 2012 and 3rd in 2011 in TDs.

Top 7 QB plenty of times for scoring.

Finally got Roberts and Wilson involved today. Looked like a complete offense.

Agreed. They need to focus on improving the defensive front seven in the draft and FA.

But I must admit the defense has performed better than I expected coming into the season.

Michael Roberts. 3 TDs in 3 games played this year. Redzone threat at TD could be

Told ya!! Not sure what the future plans are for Roberts but we just got a glimpse of an offense that was running on all cylinders....

Stafford has more tds in his first 10 seasons than Aaron Rodgers. And counting

228 to 227

of course he did you dolt...he was a backup for his first 3 seasons.

IMO stats that matter

comp %
AR 64.9
Matt 62.2

TD %
AR 6.3
Matt 4.5

INT%
AR 1.5
Matt 2.4

YPA
AR 7.9
Matt 7.2

QB rating
AR 103.6
Matt 88.7

YPG
AR 261.3
Matt 277.5

So AR had fewer TDs in his first 10 years. Of course, if you want to count...

INTs
AR 77 (1st 10 years starting)
Matt 123 (and counting)

Now, we can look at 10 years in the playoffs

AR 9-7
Matt 0-3

Stafford missed almost an entire year in 2010. And 6 games in 2009.
Rodgers sat on a 4-12 team in 2005, 8-8 team in 2006. Bitch couldn't even get on teh field.
TDs is what matters. Stafford was better with a worse supporting cast for several of those years (alot of that with injuries)

Wonder how many rushing TDs Green Bay had that might have been passing TDs if they had the leagues worst running game?

We're playing "what if" here obviously, but A-Aron didn't need the throw a TD just to score. His coaches had a much more balanced attack that could put six on the board on the ground.

These two QBs have attempted a similar amount of passes over the course of their entire careers. AR has only attempted 86 more passes than Matt. AR has 4148 more yards, 97 more TDs and 44 fewer INTs.

Historically, AR is an all-time great & Matt is just average.

86 more passes, YPG 48.2 and bam he gets those extra 4148 yards. And if they're all TD he'll be close to that too.

Of course, Matt is still ahead of AR by 44 INTs. It's going to be tough to remove those INTs.

You simply CANNOT win if you’re trying to compare Stafford to Rodgers. You will lose every time. He’s not as good as Rodgers or Brady or Brees.....and that’s ok. Stafford can win a Super Bowl.....Lions just have to build a better team around him.

That’s one thing those other guys have all had....a better 52 and better coaching. I think the Lions are getting there.

Matt wins a SB if you surround him with the a super squad of 52.
