ESPN fixed the bump

It still sucks, I hate how there aren't pages. At least it's remotely usable though. For the moment I'm still going to stay on here because this seems much nicer.

Not to mention you still can't tell who posted in the thread the last. SO you can't tell if someone replied to you or not. It's terrible still.

How do you know if you've read every new post in a thread? . . . and still insanely slow.

Unfortunately still unusable.

The slowness is the worst of it. One of many but still top of the crap heap.

Yeah, the slowness is terrible. They want you to use their stupid auto-update feature, except, the stupid auto-update feature can be 5+ minutes slow on updating. The refresh takes waaaay too long because they're using some flash based system that sucks balls.

Yeah, the pro's and con's list of going back to espn would be pretty lopsided.

Actually, i take it back. I'm going to espn.

Pros:
  • ESPN writers get to steal our comments/material for their columns[/*:m:wklwlfji]
  • We get to interact with great posters from other schools, like Neer, Aztec, HighStreet, jwlco, JTRbucks, PigMan, JehuuForHeisman, Spartansnationalchamps, etc. etc.[/*:m:wklwlfji]
  • We can't use foul language, or even words that ESPN's mods arbitrarily ban, like "thug" despite the fact that you almost need such words to even discuss teams like Miami, FSU, or ohio*[/*:m:wklwlfji]
  • we get random threads pulled for inexplicable reasons[/*:m:wklwlfji]
  • we get banned for offending trolls, or based solely on the whims of capricious and arbitrary mods[/*:m:wklwlfji]
Cons:
?

Cons:

How would we ever come up with funny things like adding (Notre Dame sucks) to the end of posts without such funny trolls. Things are going to get way too serious without them.

Lol. +1

There is no value to troll(s) who get off on inconsistent arguments, childish flaming and reporting posts from those trying to make them go away. I see no ... ZERO ... value in the espn boards now that this one is up. If you want super-intense, over the top arrogant Michigan Nerdfans, there's Mgoblog's board.

If you want worthless sophomoric idiots, ESPN and if you want typically friendly and well-grounded fans ....well, there's this place.

Ill go and see what other teams are saying about michigan and green bay, but I won't be posting. Atleast not untill they make it faster. Ill stay here unless everybody leaves. I like it here.

I can't believe how bad the new ESPN boards are... I like it much better over here and I was very skeptical at first...

I literally haven't checked that board since I came here. Fuck that noise.

I'm with ya. I'm one of the people seriously hoping this is the permanent home for everyone that's migrated. I usually didn't even bother with the board after football season because it was too difficult to sift through the endless drivel from Neer, Highstreet and others.

Much nicer here. No trolls, and even the self-proclaimed "fans" that do nothing but bitch and moan about any move made by the coach/players/team/AD/President/etc. can be banned.

That's the reason I quit posting on the Reds board on ESPN. It was always the same 5 useless fucks starting 2 dozen threads a night about how bad Jay Bruce or Dusty Baker sucked, and it's not even worth wading through that BS to find what's worth reading/discussing.

I hope this board is smokin' come saturday. ESPN fukked up, I mean who's boards were bigger combined than all the Michigan sports teams............fukking no one. That's why we are theeeee best sports fans on the face of the planet. You look at our boards on ESPN and they were constantly up to date: Wolverines, Sparty, Tigers especially, Lions, Red Wings(crazy fukking nuts on ESPN boards don't disagree over there, you'll get flamed in 1 millisecond).

I have only browsed ESPN, it is absolute trash over there. Those boards are shit. I like this new home much better.
