ESPN: Lions have fourth best QB situation in NFL

It's a joke Mitch and Hughes only think we upgraded 2 positions. Absolute joke

We upgraded in every position except RB and DL IMO. And who am I to question Bob Quinn on what he did for those 2 groups? He obviously has faith in AA and is willing to give him one more shot. Kudos for not reaching for a RB when they had bigger holes to fill.
Then he went out and picked up some pieces on that DL as well. I got my eye on Washington being that next Hyder. Or possibly seeing a breakout from Zettel. Quinn knows were young there still and like i said before, I love the fact that he didn't reach for players when he very well knew that we had some promising players in those groups.

Ansah and abdullah healthy are huge upgrades at de and rb

21st offensw without abdullah

Bad pass rush with ziggy only playing 48 percent of the snaps last year and being gimpy for most of them

Thesd idota act likw abdullah playrd all year and ansah was fine

ok so i keep reading all you nostradmonus fucktards saying our offense will be better cause we'll be healthier. lol, dumbest shit ever. We did not change the personel on the offense basically at all except for losing a RZ target like Bolden and mayyyyybe gaining one in the form of a rookie back up TE....not sure how THAT can really be considered a comparison.....but you guys are nostradomus....not me. We'll see how that one works out for ya....if im vegas id set the line on 2 TDs for a rookie back up TE lol.

The only change i can see worth mentioning is the right side of the line.....and we will see how that plays out. Newsflash....it doesnt automatically mean Abdullah will be healthy....cause hes never healthy. It doesnt mean if abdullah IS in fact healthy if he ever figured out how to hold onto the fucking ball.

I just want to see a healthy Abdullah and even a 90% Abdullah is better thsn any RB we've had there in the last while. Doesn't take a genius to figure that out lol.

every position is a maaaaajor homer stretch....even for you tony lol.

How did we improve at WR? A rookie 3rd stringer is going to step in and be better than Bolden was last year?

Oline is better...agreed.

QB is the same. Great starter than shit behind him.

TE is the same...decent starter than shit behind him. Cut the shit with this 4th rd TE from fucking Toledo being the next GAtes in the RZ crap lol....he will barely see the field. And if he does see the field a lot....then Golladay wont. So either way either WR or TE got worse.

Dline...meh....who knows.

LB youre banking on 2 rookies being better than levy and insert name here.....could happen. I like that they are atleast younger.

CB....depth is better....which was needed. Starters are basically the same. Wait n see how Tabor

S....hasnt changed at all...year older.

actually i said....i dont see how improving 2 olineman equates to going from a 21st ranked offense to a top 10 ranked offense. Im sure youll be wrong like you always are. Someone feel free to bookmark this thread so i can watch how many excuses LKP gives when we finish out of the top 10. Rinse Repeat...every year the same preseason projection crap that never comes to fruition. Still waiting for Broyles to be an All Pro LKP?.....lmao.

Abdullah and Riddick....yup havent upgraded them.
Jones and Tate....nope...no upgrade there.
Stafford...yup, same guy hes always been.
Ebron is Ebron still last i checked.
Decker, Glasgow/Dahl, Samsonite.....yup....all the same.

Golladay is worse then Bolden.

Lang is better than Warford?....i guess...we'll see
Wagner is better than Reiff? Supposedly but Reiff had a pretty darn good year last year if you ask me. We'll see.

So ya...not much has changed on the offense.

So the whole offense needs to be overhauled now? I see you're resorting back to being a complete downer again..lol. This whole offense could be different with just these 3-4 players in this system now. How do you not see it? Put the umbrella down, dude and slowwwwly back away...

Honest opinion is were a little bit better than last years 9 miraculous comeback victories....so whatever thats worth?

Hopefully were better at defending the pass but i dont see it cause the pass rush didnt improve all that much. We needed a rush DT...didnt get one. We needed a quality starter opposite Ansah...we got scraps.

be fair....im arguing that i dont see the HUGE jump in production to get us from 21st to top 10 offense. Thats all im arguing here. I for one love Abdullah and Riddick and im glad quin is giving them a chance to be productive with a potentially better oline. That in itself could do leaps and bounds for this offense.....but making it a top 10 one is tough to say.

I didn't say every position lol. But most of them...

Golladay could be that Boldin type player in yr one with the occasional deep ball. He was an absolute playmaker in college. I'm not saying that he is Boldin, but he has huge potential.

QB is the same...ya, so what? And you love to go back to what the experts say. Remember? Experts are calling this Kaaya kid a future starter in the NFL. Upgrade.

Why cut the shit with Roberts? He is what he is! A RZ monster. And you're right! I don't expect to see this kid much in between the 20's because that's not his game. He's a RZ type player right off the hop. And how does either WR or TE get worse if one or the other have a better yr? That's dumb lol.

Safety....you're right. Not much of a n upgrade but I excpect Killebrew to take over for Tavon.

It is tough...agreed. Top 10 is a stretch, but it's at least achievable now. This offense is loaded except for RB IMO and a HEALTHY AA could make them sickening. I for one have little faith in Abdullah. I love the kid and his skillset, but I don't trust him to stay healthy. Quinn obviously does though.....

Qb is upgraded. Stafford was a stud then hurt for one quarter of the season. First 12 game stafford is back. Qb got a huge upgrade via health. And backup is better

Tight end. Blocking with somewhat receiving threat. Tight end got a huge upgrade with roberts and fells

Golladay. More athletic than boldin. Faster too

It's May. Many fans of all teams think their team is better than last year. All rookies will be an improvement, and no one current player will take a step backwards.
Historically we see some will be right, many will be wrong.

I understand it's May. I appreciate being reminded tho..lol. Jk..lol. I just think it's foolish to sit here and say we're not more talented than last yr. We improved in multiple positions. I get it tho...lets see these rooks play. I'm fully confident in these rookies making an impact right away. So excited....

I just want to see Davis in the middle....hes a beast.

Golladay hasn't played a freaking snap yet dude. Come on.

So I cant have some high hopes for him??? I know he isn't Boldin, but the potential is there. He was a monster in colllege and produced at an extremely high level. We'll see the struggles for sure but we should also see the skill at times. I'm not expecting the kid to step right in and replace Boldin but i'm expecting some moments where I feel comfortable that they didn't re-sign AB. Feel me?

I guess his 2 inches in hieght were the difference in picking him over Darboh? I would have pefered picking the guy who played better competition in college but Quinn has a plan and we have to let it unfold. I am sure there are tons of picks we could flipflop. He have to have healthy running backs this year. I think that will help us greatly in our bid for a playoff win.

I'm just referring to his inference that Golladay is going to be a better player than Boldin. That is beyond pie in the sky.
